This will be a pricey show

@Vigor - lets be honest, with how much money the MCU made for Disney a secret invasion show is chump change.

@Spidey91 - Not when the actors KNOW how much Disney can offer. I'd definitely be asking for more money if I were them. The more money Disney makes, the more actors will ask for.

Oh God, imagine that this rumor actually comes to pass and we get a secret invasion storyline in the MCU, people will freak out at the mere idea of anyone possibly being a fake.

Not sure how I feel about this. I think it should be the overarching threat to a team up movie, but I guess they have a way to keep the butts in the seats in theaters and the eyes on the subscription.

Rumor mentions ties to Captain Marvel 2, but am I the only one making the obvious Fantastic Four connection?

I feel like they missed their best time to do this story. Unless (and this is a HUGE "unless") they are able to get RDJ, Johanssen, and Chris Evans back for it. And again, I highly doubt that.

When you look at it, the only 3 heroes that have died and stayed dead are Quicksilver, Black Widow, and Iron Man. Sure, Cap is still alive, but he's an old man.

If they can't get them back for it then it really makes this whole thing feel less than it should.

Could you imagine the show starting out with us learning about the Secret Invasion, then a few episodes in, once Fury starts his investigation, a Skrull ship crash lands on Earth and out walks characters we know, like Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Cap. As well as some side characters, like Maria Hill maybe.

I just don't see how this will work well. Maybe once we see some more post-Endgame world building.

But I feel like they pretty much HAVE to pull at our heartstrings and give us some kind of hope that Cap, Iron Man, and Black Widow could be coming back, even though they would need the actors to sign on for that. And I really doubt RDJ and Evan's would sign on to a TV show.

@CorndogBurglar - wouldn't dead characters returning as skrulls be the opposite of pulling at heart strings? We'd know they aren't the character because they're dead.

There are so many established characters now that I don't think they need to lean on the ones that has died anymore.

I don't think it'll play put like in the comics, though. More than likely they'll have the Kree (somehow) be the villains, with the Skrulls being heroic.

I much rather see this on the big screen in for example Captain Marvel 2, but either way I trust Marvel to do it right

I suspect it will follow its comic book story namesake about as closely as Civil War or Age of Ultron did.
