This is it- The Chamipinship! Let' give a round of applause to The Winter Soldier, for making his presence known, and etching his name among the villain elite. However, it was The Joker who finally put a stop to him. The clown reaching the finals was perhaps a foregone conclusion because he made it through with relative ease. Loki on the other hand, had a harder go of it, skirting by sometimes only just barely. I've got to hand it to you- I never expected Magneto to be eliminated, (and thought maybe he even could be the one guy to knock The Joker off) but here we are! What does it say that we are down to Loki and The Joker? On the surface they have charisma in common. But maybe it goes to show that powers and physicality isn't everything without a conniving mind.

So now, after several grueling weeks, we've reached the end. It is time to decide who has been The Best Comic Book Villain on screen. This tourney might come back around in a few years, after we've gotten new Jesse Eisenbergs and Jared Letos and Ultrons and Black Adams. But if there are any other tournaments you'd like to see (I've gotten great suggestions for Best Heroes, Best CBM Babes, Television, and more) be sure to let me know in the comments. It has been fun to see the community opinion, so I thank all who voted for my crude, silly little game. Didn't play out quite like you pictured? I'm putting out blank brackets here, so you can fill out your own personal winners. (I will be doing the same because Zod got screwed! lol) The Crown will be handed on April 27, and there will be prizes, games, babes, food, maybe more- who knows?! So be sure to come back next Monday for the announcements and celebration!

Tale of the Tape:

Loki (Thor, The Avengers) vs. The Joker (The Dark Knight)
Somehow, some way, Loki beat the Master of Magnetism, likely by exploiting Erik's weakness for fellow mutants. A more emotional Magneto wept when Loki went after the people he loved. It was the same situation for The Joker, once he learned The Winter Soldier's true identity, he went right for the traumatized emotional nerve of who he taunted in his fiendish voice as "Little Bucky."

Whoever wins though, they still have something they can use to cut the net. Loki's sceptre and Joker's knives.

Loki shouldn't be there either. Zod > Loki. Magneto > Loki.

Magneto is Marvel comics' best villain and he has been developed for more than a decade now. That's 5 films, 6 next year.

Yeah Zod would have killed Loki and Faora would have killed Joker so if it's who would win in a fight (which i think it was meant to be) then it should be Zod vs Faora but if it's who is the best supervillain then this is pretty fair.

Who would win in a fight Zod vs Faora. Best villains Magneto vs the Joker.

@Beto you're right, I was gonna say that Magneto is better than Loki. And Faora would actually beat Zod in a fight.

We need to have another one next year with Purple Man and Kingpin, also no Grant Ward or Agent Garrett both were great on AOS. but I agree that Heath Ledger's joker is a definitive villain that changes the genre. Sucks he's in the ground.

@Trickwil they were not "great" none of that show has been great, so nah.

Who voted for Loki over Magneto? Yeah a long haired 2 dimensional coward is so much better than the Nazi-Killing-Metal-Bending-Bridge-Building-Mutant-Extremist.

Of course Joker Would be in the final meh.

@beto

If we had a tournament of seeing which villains could actually beat who instead of our favorite villains, then to answer it, I'd say Zod would beat Faora soundly and Magneto would destroy Joker.

@MisterSuperior. On a 1 to 1? Yeah. If Magneto finds a clear shot, and he probably would, he could beat the joker. But they were not on the same branch. Based on this Magneto would only face the joker at the final.

Not sure about Zod and Faora, based on the movie I was not sure which one was stronger (I believe we are basing in the movie and not the comics). One would guess that Zod is the most powerful, and he maybe is, but still we are never sure. It wouldn't be the first leader that has a henchman(henchwoman) that could be physically stronger, I have seen that a lot and even in those cases it does not undermine the leader at all.

@beto

Just comparing the two villains in Man of Steel and Zod harnesses all of Superman's abilities(at least the abilities MOS portrayed) in quick fashion while Faora did not. Perhaps Faora could have as well, but just going by how quick Zod harnessed his powers in just that short time, I think gives Zod the edge.

@Trickwil bahaha! Read that in Bridges' voice.

MisterSuperior makes a good point about how quickly Zod adjusted, showing powers like the laser eyes, that might give him the edge. But to @beto's point, Faora seemed to be his equal, and if she had the.same powers it might be a different story

@bearjew
If the question becomes, who on this bracket could beat Zod in a fight, I still think there are contenders. Perhaps The Abomination or Phoenix? And there's still Magneto. But the main idea of the tournament is that the villains can use any and every resource the movies gave them- including money and armies (Otherwise the whole suit/genius division would be worthless, lol)

I found it eye-opening how small time Lex Luthor has been in these Superman movies. He should have more reach and influence than he does. It says something that he got beat by The Kingsman's Valentine. Ozymandias, Shaw, heck even The Kingpin kind of trump him. And he should be one of the best!

If Joker doesn't winn you should be banned forever.
And people needed to be in quarantine for the rest of their lives.

There is no version where Loki comes out on top, there is no Throne for him.
