Marvel Comics Is Revisiting THE CLONE SAGA, This Time In The Pages Of MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN

Marvel Comics is revisiting the concept of The Clone Saga this April, this time in the pages of Miles Morales: Spider-Man. Check out that, and a first look at his three clones, after the jump...

After some social media teases, Marvel Comics has announced today that writer Saladin Ahmed's Miles Morales: Spider-Man run will launch a new version of The Clone Saga in the pages of April's issue #25. The controversial storyline was a huge part of Amazing Spider-Man in the 1990s, but it's now Miles' turn to contend with multiple versions of himself.

The storyline promises to be the culmination of many of the ongoing story threads that have been haunting Miles since the beginning of Ahmed's run. It's said that we'll finally get to see the full extent of the Assessor's meddling as his clone creations run rampant through Brooklyn.

Designed by artist Carmen Carnero, it's said that Miles will be crossing paths with three twisted clones.

"When Peter Parker faced his own ‘Clone Saga’ years ago, he was taking part in what was already one of the most iconic traditions in comics - the hero battling a version of themselves. Since the very first issue of Miles Morales: Spider-Man, I've known that I wanted put Miles through that iconic wringer in his own distinctive way," Ahmed days.

"Miles' Clone Saga is a story that has been months, even years, in the making. We've been planting its seeds throughout the series, from the horrors of being abducted by the Assessor to the confrontations and sacrifices of the Ultimatum epic. Moments from the past will come back to haunt Miles, and the events of the story will ensnare everyone from his baby sister to Peter Parker (who knows a thing or two about dealing with clones). The ramifications will be felt for years..."

This could be a fun one to follow, and you can get a first look at Miles' clones on the cover below:
