Tessa Thompson's standout performance as the legendary warrior turned drunken bounty hunter, Valkyrie, was one of the most memorable parts of Thor: Ragnarok. Earlier this week, we learned that Valkyrie's popularity has lead to an MCU-inspired version of the character appearing in a Marvel Universe comics series, Exiles

Earlier today, Thompson took to Twitter to share her excitement about the news:

Visually, this version of Valkyrie is pretty similar to how the character looks for most of Thor: Ragnarok, with her hair, makeup and armor looking almost identical.

This is certainly a different look than the character's original appearance, but since Exiles is going to focus on versions of Marvel characters from alternate universes, it makes sense to try something a bit different.

Loved her character. Very 90s machismo, action-star badass vibe. She's got charisma.

I mean, their emphasis on this Valkyrie being an alternate version is kind of calling attention to how poorly Thompson's Valkyrie reflected the character Brunnhilde [not that I'm bashing her performance, I liked her in Ragnarok, I'm just saying her Valkyrie (although not specifically titled Brunnhilde) was not indicative of the comic character she was implied to be portraying].

@BrettMan - I hate when they do that crap. . .
when it's DC characters.
