COMICS: SHADES OF MAGIC: THE STEEL PRINCE: THE REBEL ARMY #3 Review - Out Today From Titan

Another new Wednesday is upon us and for the comic book community that means a fresh batch of comics hits stores today! Read on for our review of Titan's newest Shades of Magic: The Steel Prince issue!

Today's comic book releases include a penultimate release from Titan Comics. Shades Of Magic: The Steel Prince: The Rebel Army #3 is the second to final chapter in New York Times bestseller V. E. Schwab's hit comic series.

The series is praised as Volume 1 was shortlisted as Goodreads Graphic Novel of 2019. Meanwhile, Geeks Worldwide is quoted to say "The Steel Prince is compelling and thrilling. Everything is crafted, considered, and beautiful." After a quick read of this exciting issue, it isn't hard to admit that praise is well-placed.

As expected from any penultimate issue, The Rebel Army #3 sees a lot of action and set up for the big finale. There is also plenty of magical mayhem to go around as Prince Maxim does his best to prepare for the coming siege of Verose prepping anyone available in the only ways he knows how.

The artwork is from the talented team of Enrica Eren Anglioni (Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor) and Andrea Olimpieri (Dishonored) and pairs beautifully with the magical war-time aesthetic in the issue. You can take a look at that for yourself below as we've included both the cover art as well as several interior pages courtesy of Titan Comics! Let us know what you think!

Schwab's magical universe continues to enthrall readers by sticking the Steel Prince in a dire situation with his back to the wall. With the final chapter ahead, the action taken by the creative team in the issue brings the reader to wonder whether or not drastic measures will be taken by or against the main characters in the story.

Shades of Magic: The Steel Prince: The Rebel Army #3 will have readers through it in no time, ready to read the fourth and final issue to close out this chapter once and for all. - Five out of five.
