David Slade Offers Brief Update On DAREDEVIL Script; Promises News In January

Taking to Twitter, director David Slade has offered up an update on the status of the Brad Caleb Kane penned script as well as promising news in the New Year. Read on for details.

News has been fairly quiet on the Daredevil front lately, but a Tweet from director David Slade seems to indicate that a first draft of the script (from Fringe writer Brad Caleb Kane) has been completed. Here's what Slade told his followers just a few moments ago.

The Daredevil comic book series has recently been relaunched by Mark Waid, stepping out of the shadow of the Frank Miller years and returning the character to his swashbuckling roots. Whether the big screen reboot will follow this direction or maintain the "dark" tone established by writers such as Millar, Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker is unclear.
