DEADPOOL 2 Looks Set To Dethrone AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR As It Heads Towards A $150M Opening

We knew Avengers: Infinity War couldn't maintain its grip on the box office forever, and it looks like The Merc With a Mouth is going to be the one that knocks Earth's Mightiest Heroes of the top spot...

Deadpool 2 is set to open this weekend, and the latest box office numbers point to The Merc's second solo adventure finally prying Thanos' gauntleted grip off of the box office.

20th Century Fox's blood-soaked sequel is expected to make between $130 million and $150 million on 4,200 screens in North America, putting an end to Avengers: Infinity War's three-week rule at the #1 spot. If the X-Men spinoff does take in $135M or over it will also break the first Deadpool's record for the biggest opening weekend ever for an R-rated film.

Will Wade Wilson's antics get in the way of Infinity War's new mission to become the fist summer release to reach a global total of $2 billion?
