DEADPOOL 2 Officially Kicks Off Production With A Return Trip To The X-Mansion

Filming for Deadpool 2 is officially underway and star Ryan Reynolds has debuted the first behind-the-scenes photo, confirming a return to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Come take a look!

"Yeah, it's me, Deadpool, and I got an offer that you can't refuse. I'm gonna wait out here, okay? It's a big house. It's funny that I only ever see two of you. It's almost like the studio couldn't afford another X-Man."

Well, let's hope 20th Century Fox shelled out a few extra bucks for a couple more of Xavier's finest this time around as the studio's upcoming mutant sequel Deadpool 2 has officially kicked off principal photography in Vancouver and it looks like the first filming location is one we've become well-accustomed to over the past two decades: the X-Mansion!

Golden Globe-nominated star Ryan Reynolds released the first behind-the-scenes still from the David Leitch-directed production earlier this afternoon, offering a look at himself back in costume as the now-beloved Merc with a Mouth.

In addition to Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Stefan Kapičić are all expected to reprise their roles from the first installment while Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, Jack Kesy, and Shioli Kutsuna are joining the franchise in major new X-universe roles.
