Rob Liefeld Wants You To "Calm Down" About The Recent DEADPOOL 2 Rumours

A recent Deadpool 2 rumor reckons actors Kyle Chandler and Mackienze Davis are being considered for the roles of Cable and Domino in the sequel, and now creator Rob Liefeld has jumped in on the matter..

After the recent rumor that Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Mackienzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire) are being eyed by Fox to star as Cable & Domino in the Deadpool sequel, the man behind the character, Rob Liefeld, talked with Nerdy Pop about what he thinks about this rumor and one of the actors in question.

Though he doesn't know if he's actually up for the role, Liefeld seems to be thrilled with the idea of Chandler as Cable.

I don’t know Kyle Chandler. I don’t know him. I don’t know if he’s ever going to play Cable, but we would be so lucky to have an actor as talented as Kyle Chandler, who has been in Martin Scorsese movies… Kyle Chandler is one of the best actors in Hollywood. People trip over themselves to work with him. If, by chance that rumor was true and the production was lucky enough to get somebody as talented as him, I would just trust in the people that gave you Deadpool to figure that out for the best.

He also urges fans to trust the creative team when it comes to the casting of the characters.

I would just say, everybody calm down. My whole thing, I would have #TrustInTim, trust in Tim Miller the fantastic director, and trust in Ryan [Reynolds] our producer and genius performer, and Simon [Klingberg], and Rhett [Reese], and Paul [Wernick]. That’s what I would say.

What do you think of Liefeld's comments?  Deadpool features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vannesa, Ed Skrein as Ajax, T.J Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Gina Carano as Angeldust.
