Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman Comment On That Possible DEADPOOL/WOLVERINE Team-Up Movie
Though that Deadpool cameo in Logan rumor was swiftly debunked, we did hear that there might be "something else" in the works featuring both characters. Now, Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman weigh in.
The recent rumor that Ryan Reynolds had shot a scene as Wade Wilson for James Mangold's Logan was almost immediately debunked by pretty much everyone involved, but shortly after that we did hear that there might be something in the works that would reunite (they first appeared together in X-Men Origins: Wolverine... whether we like it or not) The Wolverine and The Merc with a Mouth on the big screen.
Whether that would be Hugh Jackman popping up in Deadpool 2, or a full-on team-up movie is anybody's guess - but whatever may or may not be on the agenda, both actors have commented on the possibility of sharing the screen again a new profile by Variety.
Ryan Reynolds:
“I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool. We have outlines and stories for a number of different films.” He envisions a standalone movie with Deadpool and Wolverine — although that’s news to Jackman… Reynolds isn’t giving up. “I have no idea if I can change his mind,” he says. “It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”
Hugh Jackman:
“I’m hesitating, because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit. But the timing may be wrong."
Jackman is most likely apprehensive because he's stated on more than one occasion that this will be his last time playing the iconic mutant. Still, it does sound like they're both into the idea of a team-up, so hopefully Reynolds can convince his friend to hold off on hanging up the claws!
Would you guys like to see a Wolverine/Deadpool movie, or would a brief cameo be a better way to go?
