What They Should Do To Show Us The REAL DEADPOOL! What They Should Do To Show Us The REAL DEADPOOL!

There's so much to be done in order to make a Deadpool movie as awesome as it should be. So I bring these Deadpool movie questions up to you....

2.Classic lines?
3.Director?

Alright people, So this is kind of my first article because my last one got removed :^( But this one is definitely about comics to video! DEADPOOL! Over the years Deadpool has stood out from the crowd for many reasons. And because of these reason if a Deadpool movie where to be done right, I really don't think there would be any stopping it. I'm very excited for the people we have working in this movie, both the writers and the actor (Ryan Reynolds) seem to understand and appreciate Deadpool's dark comedy. However simply being a dark comedy will not capture what it is that makes Deadpool so damn great. For one there are oh so many cameos, is there anyone Deadpool wouldn't jump at the chance to through down with. And for two his lines are classic and AWESOME! So I bring these Deadpool movie questions up to you....

1. Should there be cameos and if so, who? (We've already had word that there will be no cable, which is like a stab in the heart. Are they planning on bringing him into a second Deadpool movie :^) ....God I hope so.)

2. Which of Deadpool's classic lines and situations do you want to see in this movie. And try and not go too out on a limb here. Which one's do you think might actually have a chance to make it into the movie?

3. Although we officially have the writers and the actor, what director do you think could best pull off this dark comedy while keeping it true to the fans of Deadpool, cause God knows we don't want another mouth-less, metal clawed, laser eye shootin, teleportin (ok the teleportin we want) Deadpool. I mean come on....Deadpool...Mouth-less!?

Well Peeps that's the jiffy, let's see what the true fans think of it? Oh and just to remind you why Deadpool's awesome!

I think they should bring in the voices that he hears in his heads. The should all sound different and he should argue with themselves.

@ supercajun: i had to make an account here just to say how [frick]ing terrible of an idea that is. ive been a deadpool fan since the 90s and i can honestly say the new "lolrandomchimichongavoicesinhead" thing going on has ruined deadpool. i would probably die a little inside if that made it to the big screen

flames809 - 5/18/2010, 4:41 PM
jazzman- that would be a good trailer for deadpool

umm i would like deadpool to kill people for no reason and crack a joke while doing it and i want to see him save the world in a crazy deadpool way. but seriously i never read a deadpool comic but hes one of my favorite chararcter

Deadpool will end up being a bloodless PG-13 superhero comedy with tons of cameos just to put in trailers. Fox will get as much right as they did with Wolverine, who's more badass. Deadpool is a clown.

@leee777 - Haha, BORIGINS in deed. I feel honored to have my somewhat first article commented by THE LEEE777 *Tear* haha. Hail to Tick!

@uuhson- I agree, I don't think the movies would capture that all too well. And all though the voices aren't bad, i'd much prefer more of just crazy deadpool killing everyone.

@flames809 - Hell yes, he better damn well crack some weird ass joke while mutilating someone! :^D

@Jazzman - Great commercial, love how well it was put together, but i'm partial to this commercial... It'd be nice to see the two mixed together though.

Wow someone's got a grudge. You're not mad cause he punched your girl are ya? bitch wouldn't shut up, haha. Wolverine is badass, and certainly the movie came no where close to doing him justice. And god knows i love wolverine, But fact is Deadpools actually crazy, and will pretty much do anything he feels like, wolverine will not because he CARES!?!?!.... I'm sorry i didn't mean to put you down none, but you where asking for it. lol, nobody asked the freaking question of who was more badass, badass or not we're all worried fox will F up our favorite characters.

For some reason it keeps posting my comments twice? and many times they're spread apart. I've just been deleting one of them. Any idea why it does that?

@MovieTheaterLad - Thanks Lad. Haven't read that article yet.

Why is everyone so adament about Cable being in it? That's like being disappointed that the last Batman movie didn't have Superman in it.
Cable has far to complicated an origin and would take a two hour movie plus a tie-in with an X-men movie to explain him.
DLM
DLM - 5/19/2010, 1:16 PM
SHORYUKEN! lol!

1) I don't think there should be any cameos, just the characters that tie into his origin. Let's keep this movie just about Deadpool. That was one of the reasons origins failed in my eyes, too many characters.

2) (Talking about a hot nun he had as a teacher) "I still get turned on whenever I see a penguin. Can't go near the zoo."

Mostly i'd like him to reference other Marvel franchises and take the pee out of them, especially how he was portrayed in origins.

3) Director? Matthew Vaughn. Who else?
13Deadpool13
13Deadpool13 - 5/19/2010, 5:42 PM
@ericon - i see your point behind that. Although i think deadpool and and cable have way more history than batman and superman, cable himself has quite a long story and involving him in the story would take a lot of time away from deadpool.

@anil - COMPLETELY agree, i don't think anyone's debating that one. That to me wasn't really deadpool, just a twist on the story before he becomes deadpool, as movietheater lad showed us in his pic.

@DLM1Point5 - 1. like i said to ericon as much as i love the cameos, i agree. Deadpool is already such a...somewhat complex guy, lol. The more time we get of deadpool to really express how great he was the better. And i agree they tried to pack in way too many characters in wolverine. They tossed in anyone and everyone....everywhere!

2. Haha, LOVE IT. That certainly would be a classic line to hear on the big screen.

3. Agreed, i think vaughn would do a great job. I think he would work well with reynolds, He'd fight to get the R rating (which deadpool deserves) and i think he'd do his everything he could to stay as close to the character as possible.

@conform - as far as i know he's still been meeting with eh writers and their ideas, so let's hope it finally stick. plus after the mutilation of deadpool last time, all the fans are desperate for a well made deadpool.

@shazam - I know, haha when i first saw that i [frick]ing busted up!

@riddleme - I agree completely, good call. i totally forgot about that. They should should mention it while he's watching tv or something, cause he watches a lot of [frick]ing tv, lol.

Love for weasel to be in this, hopefully its pretty much a given for the writers to put him i it. Not sure about Blind al as his prisoner? what do you think?

Ive been racking my brains to try and come up with a villan or even story line they might use? T-Ray? Mythras? Id love to see Wade go up against Bullseye, there perfect advisarys but wont happen :(..Taskmaster maybe :)??????

A hydra agent bob cameo would be awesome..

marvel72 - 5/23/2010, 10:50 AM
@ jazzman that was a good effort but you need costume footage.
@ 13deadpool13 that was very good my good man, lets pray that fox don't f*** this up.

as for director i would go for matthew vaughn after seeing kick ass,he could do the charactor justice.
the other thing i love about the comic is the way he sings classic songs to himself, just before he does some cool action shit.
13Deadpool13
13Deadpool13 - 5/23/2010, 3:03 PM
@boydey - Honestly i have no idea what story they'll go with, and which i'd like best either. For some reason i've got a feeling we'll see bob though... i'm really not sure where that feeling comes from, call it a hunch (wink, wink)

@ deadpool72 - Thanks, wish i made it myself, i'd be a little proud of that one, they did a pretty damn good job with that one, plus i love the song they used for it. I downloaded it within seconds, lol. And god yes he needs to be singing to himself while causing some epic destruction..... gotta love that deadpool!

BoydeyMcNerd
BoydeyMcNerd - 5/24/2010, 2:00 AM
I suppose you could just have the main story being Hydra Hiring deadpool (after some kind of origin introduction) to take some one out (Nick Fury? with a black Widow vs deadpool scene? AWESOME)

..then Hydra screwing him over (refusing to pay him something for his efforts even due to him obviously failing)and have him reak havoc on Hydra with the help of bob who perhaps deadpool befriends when hired to take our fury...any one have Rhett Reese and Paul Wernicks email? hahaha

p.s the recient dream sequence from Issue #22 of Deadpool where he goes up against Thor...would love to see that in there or at least some of his delusions

13Deadpool13 - 5/24/2010, 4:38 AM
haha, i know....there's a million ways they could go. So long as they make sure deadpool is awesomely crazy and they don't stir too far off of his universe, well i'm pretty sure i'll be happy. who knows though. i'm just damn sick of the waiting. I've been reading articles about ryan reynolds trying to get this movie happening for ever. long, long before wolverine....... one day it'll be on the big screen, one day.

P.S. haven't read #22, sounds great though, i'll have to check it out.

Jman1992
Jman1992 - 5/27/2010, 1:01 PM
story should be
- deadpool is hired to steal the super soldier formula from A.I.M., hydra or S.H.E.I.L.D. by kingpin, who also hires bullseye...

king pin knowing they have history and knowing they will cause a mess and one mighty distraction also hires the cat to go in and steal it undetected. the cat gets it first, but deadpool being an idiot finds himself obliged to prove himself not an idiot and steal the formula from the cat and give it to the kingpin... but after much death and destruction deadpool finally get the serum and has a change of heart...

he is then one of the most wanted men on the planet, he realises this thing is actually important so instead of giving to sheild or king pin he takes a bullet to it infront of everyone... because what is he going to do with the super soldier serum, he is one!

i think this would be good because it would tie in well with the cap america story, and who doesnt love the scene where kingpin is crushing deadpool and DP says hes "oddly arroused" in issue #34

Me and my buddy's have talked about this constantly.

1) As far as cameos the voices in Deadpool's head should be some great ones. I was thinking along the lines of Lewis Black or, if he was still alive, George Carlin. He usually has two voices...one that seems somewhat sane and intelligent and the other that is just off the wall. Perhaps even someone like Stephen Colbert or Will Farrell or, shudder, Dane Cook. I just think that Ryan Reynolds will be able to bounce off those guys easily for crazy voices in his head. As far as in person cameo...I'd like to see my favorite superhero Maverick appear...he got totally botched in Origin: Wolvergay and I demand him to return.

2) When I consider a situation Deadpool has been in to be in the movie there are literally hundreds to choose from that I've died laughing at. The one that comes to mind that I would like is from Deadpool: Suicide Kings. After the Punisher came after Deadpool with a samurai sword and cut off both his arms Daredevil showed up and knocked out the Punisher before he could finish Deadpool. Deadpool is sitting on the floor looking at Daredevil and says, "Go on. You know you wanna say it." Daredevil replies, "Thought you could use a hand."
Classic.

3) This question is a tough call...because I absolutely would love to see Jon Faverau from the Iron Man movies come on to the Deadpool project. He has the eyes for what the fans want to see their comic book movies and he could do this right. The only only only other director that could pull this off right...Kevin Smith. Hands down a comedy king that could be a solid backbone for a movie like this with alot of comedy talent along with action.
13Deadpool13
13Deadpool13 - 6/4/2010, 2:35 AM
@ DEADPOOLX00 - Haha, i know what you mean, but i really don't think you can go wrong with a deadpool name.

@ muffin man - i think kingpin could make a good addition to the plate, But i think they'll go a different way. There's enough bad guys not seen yet that they'll probably use. Plus other than the joker and two face i can't think of 1 bad guy that's been reused in films, recent films. But if by some chance they do use kingpin, Absolutely they should use that quote, haha, that is a good one.....Oh and sabertooth! and stryker. (ok so i could think of a few, haha)

@ wade1210 - I like that commercial, very well put together, a little too many shots of daredevils faces for me though. it makes it a little too obviouse to me, lol.

@ vxMaverickxv -
1. will farrell? i completely agree,lol... That's a good idea tossing in a second voice...plus you do have some interesting choices, lol.
2. haha, that would be great to watch, but i don't see it happening, that's just way too many characters that have already been used. Plus deadpools getting his own reboot, so they probably wouldn't tough that with a ten foot pole.
3. As much as i would love to see faverau join as the a director, that's not gonna happen, he's way to busy with his own stuff. Plus i don't know if he could really pull it off. I mean damn well he'd do everything he could, but i don't think he could capture the sure craziness of deadpool.....not to mention deadpool is a part of the whole x-men universe, disney probably would like the idea of faverau helping FOX out.....But Kevin smith...i like that choice, if we're talking Dogma kevin smith, not daredevil kevin smith, lol.
Jman1992
Jman1992 - 6/6/2010, 11:34 AM
Haha same kevin smith... the only problem with kevin smith is he'd put ben affleck (shudders!!!) in it, I think the guy who directed zombie land aswell cause the movie was great and he did use the whole talk in your head thing,
As for the voices thing I completely missed the comics where that originated from so it took a while for me to get it but after I realised what was going on I found it hilarious, as far as voices go I think sean william scott because he woulda made a perfect DP if reynolds couldn't do it, it would be funny if jack black just randomly came into it as a 3rd voice, and one of the other were just like "F**k OFF jack!!! Your in enough stuff" cause jack blacks a well known voice and it'd be funny and deadpool style random.
Well I think the rhino would be good as like a sub story if DP is hired to take his horn like in the comics... it would also show his character very well about how he is only willing to do anything for money... you could also have the sex appeal with this story, between her, the old guy and deadpool...
vxMaverickxv
vxMaverickxv - 6/6/2010, 3:40 PM
Hahahaha...I remember when DP went after the Rhino's horn...that was hilarious.
scmittydude
scmittydude - 6/6/2010, 5:12 PM
okay first i'll take care of the topic for the voices, my idea is far fetched but who can get mad at something hypothetical anyway right? right!!
try and follow me here:
i think pre-recorded voices, what i mean is, have ryan reynolds record them in a narrative fashion? follow me? so we here the voices, he reacts to the voices/talks to them like in the comic.
watch the end of the Brady bunch movie to know what i mean, take note of Jan's/Cindy's voices:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWi938cu3V8

cameos? thats obvious, betty white as blind Al
this 'll open up opportunities for Bea Arthur jokes
director?....Ruben Fleischer or matthew vaughn

cameos, dont ask because i dont know why,
DJ Qualls as weasel.

Jman1992

Not taratino!!! I can't stand that guy like I can't even watch kill bill. Pulp fiction wasn't bad... anyway

Cast:
Reynolds-deadpool
-or if (as so many critics are saying) reynolds can't or won't do it
Seann william scott- deadpool
Justin long- weasel
Stephen lang- cable
Diora Baird - Copycat
Sienna Miller - Domino
Kathryn Joosten - Blind Al
Anton Yelchin - Bob, Agent of Hydra
Matt Willig - T-Ray
Michael Fassbender - Bullseye

And as a reference to the yellow text boxes, it should show deadpool in the snow urinating but writing his name in it, then the camera should angle it so its just above his head like a text box

I think the guy who directed zombieland should do it... I mean that movie was brilliant writing and directing

Or the guy who directed tank girl cause that was very comic related

@DEADPOOLX00 - Haha, "The Deadpool's society" :^)

No, God please no tarintino. I used to like him But he's really gone down hill for me.... big time. It feels like he just try's too damn hard to toss out crazy and stupid shit without even thinking of a good story any more. His work used to have great stories to tie it all in. It just doesn't seem like he really cause about the story anymore.

I love the idea of tossing betty white in. That woman would make a great addition to the cast and, yes, that would tie in perfectly for deadpool to talk about Bea Arthur.

They've already stated that he will be breaking the fourth wall. And that little bit of info made me a happy camper. (didn't he kind of break the fourth wall in wolverine. I think i remember he did for a sec. nothing drastic but it was enough that only a deadpool fan would notice...I really don't want to watch that movie again, lol)

Amazing! Love the comic strip they showed :)
When they make the movie they have to make sure that Deadpool breaks the fourth wall. Meaning that he has to know that he is a fictional character and talks to the "audience". There has to be a a LOT of humor but not as much as the action. there should be an equal amount of humor and action!

Cant wait to see what they come up with :)
