Disney has debuted an IMAX poster for Aladdin, and it gives us a look at new artwork featuring Will Smith's Genie, Jasmine (Naomi Scott), Aladdin (Mena Massoud), and Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), along with animal characters Rajah, Abu and Iago.

After the mixed (we're being nice) response to our first official look at Will Smith's Genie in his blue form, the recent full trailer for the movie seemed to get at least a few fans on board by showcasing a fully realized take on the character. It also revisited several beats and locations from the animated classic, and gave us a brief blast of Jasmine and Aladdin singing "A Whole New World."

Will that be enough to propel to movie to success? Well, according to early box office estimates Aladdin is currently tracking towards an $80 million-plus debut over the long Memorial Day weekend, which is by no means unimpressive, but would be quite a bit lower than the opening weekend hauls of both The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast.

Check out the new one-sheet below along with the recently released character posters, and let us know what you think. Will you be seeing Aladdin in theaters?

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”

Aladdin hits theaters on May 24, 2019.

This is the one movie I think I will either really like or really dislike. No idea why but watching the trailers make me think it's gonna either really work or really not.

@JustAChillFan -
It's Mena Massoud. He looks and sounds terrible in his role.

@Battabing - i think Mena looks great...especially in the tv spots. He captures that youthful spirit of the animated version

Listen to him talk. It's like he's reading his lines from a teleprompter.

@Battabing - ehh I think that's a reach. If he sounded like that, he would sound forced, and he doesn't sound like that. I don't think you've seen all the tv spots. Considering the character Aladdin isn't some thespian role, I think Mena is doing a good job. But I'll have to wait for the movie to give a fair assessment.

The movie is called Aladdin but they marketing it like its called Genie.

Also, Jafar looking more charming than slimy. He actually looks like an honest guy. Shouldn't he look, idk dishonest???

@BlackBeltJones - Well let's not pretend Genie hasn't always outshined Aladdin lol. Plus, Will Smith is the global star, so he's gotta be a big part of the promotional material.

I'm really liking this poster. Smart to have the all white background, so you can focus more on the colorful features. I like how the characters and set pieces flow out of the lamp too. Really nice. I like the theatrical poster too,but this once is kind of cooler. It's minimalistic, yet eye-catching and colorful.

I expect this to be the Solo of this year in terms of box office. There are a lot of similarities between Endgames post release competition and Infinity War's.

@LongMayHeReign - You clearly haven't been paying attention to Dumbo (can't blame you, neither has the rest of the world)...but that's the Solo of this year. They're both movies nobody was excited to see when they announced it or when the trailers came out. Aladdin's official trailer was highly positive. Aladdin is a much more popular film and has iconic music and a global star attached. It won't be like Solo. Solo had a weak lead character and was released after fans hated The Last Jedi. Solo didn't even have Harrison Ford, so that made the interest less appealing to everyone who loves Star Wars. Aladdin is making double the money Solo made, at least.

@carltonb95 - Outside of Suicide Squad what's the last Will Smith film to make big money? Regardless, the biggest reason I'm comparing Solo to Aladdin is because of the Memorial Day weekend release date. For the last 5 or so years Disney has released a film on this weekend that has greatly disappointed box office wise and I think Aladdin will be no different. Don't get me wrong I think it makes more than Solo but not a ton more.

It's the titular role but also barely remarked in the poster... mess.

I hope it’s a good movie, but everything seems a bit off. Why Guy Ritchie? And Naomi Scott is beautiful but does not look at all like Princess Jasmine.

@parkerray - It was probably really difficult finding someone who resembles Jasmine while also being a really good singer, dancer and actor. I'm sure they found people who looked like Jasmine, but probably didn't sound good, or maybe they sounded great, but couldn't act that well. I'd rather have someone who barely resembles Jasmine and who has all the other necessary qualities, then someone who looks exactly like Jasmine but is mediocre at everything else. I mean, Naomi's voice sounds way better than I expected her to sound in the trailer.

@carltonb95 - It's not an either/or situation. Disney casting would have more resources than any other casting process in history, so I don't buy that it's difficult for them. For an iconic role like this they can look across likely every continent, but in Los Angeles alone, there may be roughly fifteen thousand Indian actors to choose from. When you're working with characters as iconic as Jasmine and Genie, visual detail is just as vital as acting and vocal talent.
