@TheManWithoutFear - as I stated multiple times yesterday, this narrative that the death of cinema is upon us is a fairy tale. Thank you House of Mouse.

@TyrantBossMedia @SauronthePower - Theatrical experience is dead if most theaters are permanently closing next year. I think going to the theaters is going to be niche like Broadway or live shows where you have to pay 50 - 200 dollars per seat.

Disney only represents 30 - 40% of the movie market domestically. If the other 60 -70% go to streaming like WB & Universal then Disney has no power to keep it alive.

Definitely won't be their MCU titles it seems

@Kumkani - would be a terrible decision IMO. They already have their shows for D+, so the brand won't die or be forgotten.

As long as the Animated Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Fox movies are getting a theater releases I'll be happy.

Don't care about the live action remake (beside Peter Pan by Lowery) and it would be a smart move to put them on Disney+

They'll hold back their high-tier movies for theatres while pushing their mid-tiers to Disney+.
Frankly it's what Warner should have done themselves.
People are going to wait for bigger movies, they won't suddenly lose interest in WW84, Black Widow, Godzilla vs Kong, Conjuring 3 etc.
As for flicks like Tom & Jerry, Cruella or Godmothered: these are made for streaming. Don't see anybody going to theatres for those.
Plus movie theatres are in desperate need of help, I'm not talking massive chains like AMC but privately owned theatres, small chains. The film industry has been making millions off of them. It's only in good faith that these need to be saved as well.

Something similar is happening in the theater, musical and opera world. Houses are losing millions for every day they're not open and yet have to pay their staffs.
They can't play anything either.

Thank God

Disney is our last hope for saving movie theaters
