Disney will probably have a few more bombs this year but they can afford to have box office blunders and still are the highest grossing studio most of the time.

I think that's why I kinda like Disney for all the hate they get (and rightly deserve). They're not just content with making the movies they know will make money. Every now and again they'll make a John Carter or a Lone Ranger and risk a lot of money.

Lone Ranger is pretty great too.

@UltimateCarnage

Guilty! The Lone Ranger and John Carter got my backside in to a theatre and I enjoyed them both😊

Popcorn was pretty nice too

Disney is going to rock this year! Some speculation on BO:

BP - $800 million WW
IW - $1.5 billion WW
Solo - $700 million WW
The Incredibles 2 - $700 million WW
Wreck-it-Wralph 2 - $400 million WW
Ant-Man and the Wasp - $800 million WW (riding off IW)
Mary Poppins - $500 million WW

Total WW BO for Disney 2018: $5.4 billion

And all of this is excluding the Fox films this year.

@kylo0607 - I'm thinking 7.2 billion because animation makes a lot of money so win win for Disney!!!!

@kylo0607 - Incredibles 2, Wreck-it Ralph 2 and Mary Poppins will all make more than that.

@Trumpool - Of course, they will.

Some of these are minimum BO predictions.

@MyCoolYoung - No, it was originally included in the list along with Solo, Wreck-It Ralph and others, but it looks like someone edited them out and instead linked them at the top.
