Why is the Mulan remake news on this site? And who the frick cares?

@clornelas - Because Disney pays them to just like the Lady and the Tramp coverage and all the other stupid shit they try and promote. This at least is a movie with a 'hero's journey' to follow so it makes sense to be here somewhat.

@clornelas - What if Mulan is tied to Shang Chi?

This website wouldn't just remove the "view all" button and post unrelated comic book news just for the clicks. They are professional journalists, I doubt they would just use facebook news and tweets to make headlines.

I know that “problematic” is an over-used and often misused buzzword, but the star of this movie’s said some legitimately problematic and de-humanising things.

Why the [frick] is the next button the only option we have?

Slightly off topic but the other day I saw someone on Twitter saying that the Disney Star Wars are more visually appealing than the MCU which I kind of agree with.

Regardless of how boring I find Star Wars to be right now they at least have crisper and more vibrant colours, better cinematography, and even some of their promotional material like movie posters are done a lot better overall. The same can even be said about the Disney live action remakes like The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and this Mulan film.

Of course the MCU films are overall the better made ones but I think Marvel Studios could learn a thing or two about how Disney has their films shot.

@Necropolitan - The Star Wars films are well shot but I thought Beauty and the Beast was incredibly ugly. Looked too artificial.

@tmp3 - Okay actually I'd give you that one. Looked back at it and it's not so great.

One problem I have with this is the reasoning behind some of the changes. They're trying to be realistic...while still including some fantasy elements. And their exclusion of Mushu, they're okay with having a shape-shifting witch in this...but a small, talking dragon companion is too much for them?

Stop with the next button. No need to bring this back again. Already enough problems with the site, like how this has nothing to do with comic book movies.
