TOY STORY 4 TV Spot Introduces The Daredevil Stuntman Duke Caboom, Voiced By Keanu Reeves

Disney has released a new TV spot for Pixar's Toy Story 4, introducing us to Duke Caboom, one of the film's new characters voiced by action star Keanu Reeves (John Wick).

Given Reeves' background, the actors seems like the perfect fit for Duke Caboom, a 1970s toy based on Canada’s greatest stuntman. "Riding his powerful Caboom stunt-cycle, Duke is always prepared to show off his stunt poses with confidence and swagger," Disney's description of the daredevil stuntman teases.

The TV spot begins with a commercial for Duke with a chorus of voices singing how he's "the most spectacular daredevil Canada has ever seen." However, it's soon revealed that Duke is struggling to live with the disappointing truth that, as a toy, he's unable to perform the awesome stunts advertised in his commercial.

It sounds like Woody and Bo Peep will encounter Duke Caboom in an antique store where he is "constantly reliving the failures of his tragic past." Given what we know about the plot of Toy Story 4, it sounds like Duke's personal identity crisis will fit right in with the movie's theme of questioning who or what you're meant to be.

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

Toy Story 4 arrives in theaters on June 20, 2019.
