Newly revealed shirts for Marvel's Eternals feature fresh shots of Deviant leader Kro, the various Celestials we'll see in the film, and even confirms the MCU version of the team will use the Uni-Mind!

In another part of the Multiverse, we've already watched Eternals. Unfortunately, in this one, we're still in the midst of a pandemic, and that means the film won't be released until November.

Now, some new shirts which are doing the rounds on online retailers reveal fresh shots of the team, a number of Celestials, and Kro, the leader of the Deviants, and this film's lead villain. He's previously been seen only as a Marvel Legends action figure, but doesn't look vastly different here.

One shirt confirms that Eternals will include the Uni-Mind; in the comics, that's been depicted as the Celestials' greatest gift to the Eternals. Having no race or gender, the Uni-Mind is made of light, mind, and pure energy. It is created when several Eternals come together and join their will and intelligence.

Marvel Studios likely would've preferred fans to get a first real look at these characters via a trailer or some officially released stills and posters. However, given how great these costumes are, and how awe-inspiring the Celestials will almost certainly look in action, it's hard to imagine those familiar with these heroes being anything other than psyched after seeing these designs.

Kro, we're not entirely sure on, but with the right VFX and voice actor, he could be awesome.

I like the comic cover shirt. Definitely for all those "I totally read the comics before the movie" fans.

@Origame - honestly, I haven't read any Eternals comic in my life. But thats also the reason I look forward to this a lot, because its a fresh and new thing for me too.

Still, the shirt is to my likimg too. Can I still wear it though?

@bkmeijer - oh yeah. Sorry. The point I'm trying to make is whenever a marvel movie is announced for a property that hasn't been adapted yet so many people come out claiming to have been fans of the comics but clearly just read the Wikipedia page. I've got no problem if you just think it's a cool look.

@Origame - for a property like Eternals I'm guilty of having only wikipedia knowledge too. No need to apologize though, I understand what you meant (but wasn't offended or anything, thought it was funny even).

Celestial could be the next Thanos level threat, based on Jack Kirby’s original plan for them returning to pass judgement on mankind. Book was cancelled before it could happen, but was finally done in Roy Thomas Thor run

@dracula - wow I didn't know that.
What Thor issue is that?

@cerrone6 - dont know, dont read much marvel, just something i read on a website saying it happened.........

Based on a quick search, should be #283-301 and an annual 7.

Will probably read them and the jack kirby stuff at some point. More of a DC guy and know nothing about the eternals. Just think of them as Marvel’s new gods

@dracula - And judgement day was 2026. Only 5 years away from now.

It was averted in that Roy Thomas run when Arishem gave the Earth a big Chuck Norris thumbs up. But that always felt unearned to me.

Also, despite Marvel's sliding timescale, the history of The Eternals has always stayed intact.

Jack Kirby's The Eternals and The Celestials Saga (the Roy Thomas stuff in Thor) both happened in the 70s and were still referred to as happening thirty years ago in Neil Gaiman's 2006 Eternals book.

So 2026 would still have been the date the earth was judged even in Marvel time.

It'd be neat if Arishem comes to earth to render a five year judgment from 2021-2026 in the MCU.
Or came to render a 50 year judgment in 1976, like the comics, but he's been hidden from human perception all this time or something.

If it wasn't for the pandemic we would've gotten this movie last year, it just seems weird we haven't really seen anything from it.

Yes, I understand why before anyone come in trying to give me a history lesson

@MyCoolYoung - same goes for Shang-Chi. Really wish we gotten something more than promo art from both project.

On the topic of history lessons: watched Age of Samurai, and was hella confused why a bunch of white dudes were interviewed

@bkmeijer - same. The doctor is really excited about Shang-Chi and I’m trying to get hyped because I trust his judgment but I’m coming from a place where I don’t know much about him so I need something

Lol that’s funny now I gotta watch it so I can ask the same question.

@MyCoolYoung - I'm excited for Shang-Chi too (and for Eternals), but thats mostly because I know jack about either properties. Finally I can truly be surprised by a Marvel cbm too as this is my first major exposure to these characters.

Also, don't watch it. Its told quite boringly and the reenactments are pretty low budget. The story is cool though, but the wikipedia page suffices too. I watched the first episode, but felt like a chore to finish it.

@bkmeijer - damn guess I’ll find something else to watch.

I feel that way about the properties I don’t know too. Of course my hype levels won’t be through the roof but marvel has that good will that I have faith they’ll come through with something that’s entertaining at the very least.

Guardians proved they can knock these obscure properties out the park.

@MyCoolYoung - I'll admit thats probably part of the reason I'm looking forward to it too. I know Marvel Studios can make something enjoyable, so I don't have reason to doubt them now.
