to be fair, "gay Hercules" is like the least surprising retooling possible.

@Spidey91 - I always thought he was gay anyways. At least that's how he acts in comics, could be bi also.

@BlackBeltJones - who was actually stronger in the comics base strength wise?

@XelCorp - Herc all the way.

In the story from the panel I posted, Thor admits he cant beat Hercules hand to hand.

Thor hits him with lightning and Hercules says thats cheating, fight me hand to hand.

@XelCorp - Thor, he was always holding back.

@BlackBeltJones - Thor explained to Stark that he was always holding back, because he was afraid what he would do.

@ThorPoochie - true. Part of me thought that was Thor being his blustering, egotistical self. He has to be better or let people know that he is even when he cant show it.

@BlackBeltJones - That's what i thought too first, but he was fricking pissed and not messing around then. But honestly I think Thor is stronger than Hercules. Not a lot by any means, but still and it depends alot who writes the stories.
