Comicbook History:

The son of the crime lord Carmine Falcone (played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins), Alberto Falcone was an outcast in his family of mobsters, a nonexistent part of the family business. His father favored his older siblings Mario and Sofia Gigante, igniting a deep, pathological jealousy. He fought his way up on a scholarship to Harvard University and later went onto Oxford. Alberto was always eager to follow in his father's footsteps and offered his service, but Carmine refused to let Alberto get involved in his "business", wishing for Alberto to live a normal life.

Claim to Fame:
This character became popular in the "Long Halloween storyline" Where he is revealed to be the serial killer known as the "Holiday Killer".

As the Holiday Killer he murdered criminals connected to his father Carmine Falcone during the "Holidays".

The Holiday Killer then targeted Sal Maroni's people still offing them during "Holidays". This killings started a gang war betweent Falcone and Maroni's men.

Alberto later on admitted to these killings. He was convicted and sentenced to a gas chamber but due to his unstable mental state he pleaded insanity and was imprisoned in Arkham Asylum.

Another storyline that involves Alberto Falcone is in Batman: Dark Victory. This is where he met his demise in the hands of his sister, Sofia.

The character was created by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be the first actor to potray Alberto Falcone in live media. This is actually the first time this character will be adapted to another media.
