Pollmaster here, my sincerest apology to the community for the previous bout which seemed lopsided, I am still in the process of refining the rules and mechanics of this Fight Club. For your information the lower card and middle card fights are requests made by members of the CBM community. I consider all requests made as long as they fall in the criterion: a Comic Book character that has a live adaptation (but for now I am considering only those who are comicbook character first, and was later adapted for live media, and not the other way around). So, even how ridiculous the request that was made, as long as it falls on that criterion, I will include it on the Fight Club (I consider the fact that our favorite comicbooks also have a history of funny match-ups, one of you even pointed out a match-up between Squirrel Girl and Thanos, in which Squirrel Girl won).

For the Main Event: I made the rule of "winner of previous Main Event" fights the "winner of previous Middle Card". I wanted it to have some sense of continuity with the previous bouts, and also give it a random feel, to give us fights that we don't usually see (thus Bullseye vs Thor). I know that this system is not perfect, and I have to admit that the previous "Main Event" bout was ridiculous (but as comicbook fans we do thrive on ridiculous, right? We enjoy reading the exploits of supernaturally powered individuals in colorful tights, I rest my case). Our Fight Club doesn't have any weight division, and I don't feel that it should have, because if Batman can fight Galactus and live to tell about it, then Bullseye should be allow to get his shot on the Thunder god, even if only 16 people believe that he actually could win. Thanks guys! Geekrespect to everybody!

CBM Fight Club RULES!!!
You can base your vote on any version of the character (but preferably use the main comics continuity or live adaptation). For those not familiar with the character I have provided a short feature for each character, you can find it below the character's profile picture (click it and it will bring you to a different page consisting a short bio of the character and a list of his powers and abiliDraws). This is NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST (That is worth repeating -NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST), please decide logically, you can defend your vote in the comment section, and you can even include descriptive detail on how one character takes down his opponent.

Consider each fight as the FIRST MEETING of the two characters (even if they exist in the same universe, try to treat this fight as their first encounter, which means there are no prior knowledge of the other's power set and abiliDraws, as well as knowing their strengths or weaknesses).

These fights are Chance Encounters, the FIGHTS are NOT PLANNED, so there are no preparation time. But the characters are outfitted with their regular equipments, weapons, and other stuffs that are closely associated to the character.

Consider the character's personality and how the character will act on the given situation (will he fight dirty, will he be honorable, etc…). The characters can use anything in their present surrounding for their advantage.

i guess people just don't know anything about Spawn...

He's got the power of God and Satan at his disposal. even before he gained those powers, his natural hellspawn powers would be more than enough to handle Thor. He's basically got the power to do anything he can imagine. Thor wouldn't stand a chance and neither would 99% percent of the entire Marvel and DC Universes.

but whatever...
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 5/18/2011, 9:36 AM
oh, and unless they were fighting underwater, Deadpool would own any version of Aquaman, easily.

Thing and Colossus would be a very close fight though, they're both about equal in strength and durability, and they are both known for have huge hearts and the ability to keep fighting well past their limits. that truly would be a gret fight.

cable23
cable23 - 5/18/2011, 9:43 AM
@CorndogBurglar My point exactly, people do not read their comics on this site. Spawn would pwn Thor even with his Odin Force. Spawn was able to seperate humans from one Earth and put them on one he created, he defeated the Devil, reinvented Hell, and place God and the Devil on one Earth just so they could settle their differences. Spawn is one of the most powerful characters in comicbook history. SPAWN WINS!! duh

Thank you for taking one of my Suggestions! :D

Aquaman (all versions except classic conception) Destroys Deadpool, Beginning of movie and comic Version. The end of Origins Deadpool can take a few versions of Aquaman but gets slaughtered by a few others. Still no death for Deadpool.

Thing out fights Colossus in a hard fought almost eveny matched battle. Both Movie and Comic version fights would go about the same.

Thor defeats Classic conception Spawn. After Spawn learns his powers and get a few upgrades we have a serious fight on are hands. Any incarnation of Spawn to follow the ones listed would destroy Thor, sadly... Movie Spawn get OWNED by Movie Thor!

yeah, there are those people that know the comics around here, but it seems like the people that don't read them on a regular basis far outweigh the ones that do.

anyone that knows Spawn would know that even before he gained his newer powers, he still would have been able to defeat Thor, with no real problem.
SageMode
SageMode - 5/18/2011, 9:57 AM
If anyone remembers, the only way Spawn was able to defeat God and the Devil and do all that other stuff was cause he had help from The Mother when she gave him the Forbidden Fruit from the Garden of Eden to eat. After he resurrected everyone, he became his regular Hellspawn self again.
ThaMessenger07
ThaMessenger07 - 5/18/2011, 10:01 AM
@ Corndog & cable23: I think Thor Could Beat Spawn apon conception. He had vast power but nothing that Mjolnir couldn't counter. When he gained control he became an issue but still lacked creativity. Afte that though there is not a Version of Thor that could beat him.....maybe Rune King Thor could fight Redeemed Spawn....but I doubt it. And God Spawn was strong in his universe but when he did what he did to God and the Devil he was still not a true Omnipotent for The Mother was still above him. He is powerful but I don't know how he would fair against some of the Marvel Cosmic Magics and the Principalities. Or some of DC's god like beings, like the New Gods.

Water bearer Aquaman would suck all the moisture out of Deadpool’s body and then flash boil the desiccated remains for soup.

But even weaker incarnations of Aquaman would beat Deadpool in most fights.

Unless deadpool has some secondary or primary adamantium blades or some really really high grade explosives or particle weapons then Aquaman wins 10/10.

If Aquaman gets his hands on deadpool for even a couple seconds, which is likely then its over.

@ sagemode and the messenger

yeah, but even his "regular old hellspawn self" was pretty much capable of doing anything his imagination could think of. he wasn't omnipotent, but he was still unbelievably powerful. you have to remember, that back in the day, he didn't use his powers all that much because he had a limit clock, and the crazier things he did, the more of his energy he would use. thats why he relied so heavily on guns back then.

but in times of life or death, he would pull out all the stops. and when he did, there was pretty much no stopping him, and pretty much no limit to what he could do. Spawn is just one of those crazy powerful characters.
ThaMessenger07
ThaMessenger07 - 5/18/2011, 12:43 PM
I feel that his power was much like Thor's back in those times. Thor was naturally a physical specimen of amazing strength but with the Hammer, his power seemed limitless. He absorbed Galaxy Busting attacks, Destroyed Planets Easily, undid spells done by high end magical beings.

Spawn had similar feats but he had to grow into using it, while Thor had mastered these powers for Thousands of years already. Not untill he started really tapping into his power would he be able to dominate Thor. But since then there has not been a point where Thor was in his range. Except maybe as Rune King Thor.

this is a better fight card. but why limit yourself and us to the live appearances versians of these characters? For true fanboys this is frankly insulting. But more importantly Live appearances will run out shortly and using the same old characters will get boring. Broaden the catagories to comics and there are too many fights to count.

Raiden vs. Thor
Solid Snake vs. Nick Fury
Elektra vs. Bat-Girl
Silver Samurai vs. Ronin

I love Spawn and i'm well aware of all of his God-like powers, but when it came down to it i'm not sure that Al Simmons would have battle experience to stop Thor before being knocked out.
Ben and Piotr are too close for me to call but if i had to it would be Colossus.
And i know that Aquaman always seems like the butt of everyone's joke, but this is a guy who had held his own against most of the strong men and women in DC including Darkseid and Wonder Woman for a long period of time. To me that deserves a little bit of respect there.

Do Hulk vs. Doomsday, Ultron vs. Brainiac or Thanos vs. Darkseid

Deadpool would kick Aquaman's ass. He might struggle underwater but he'll get old fish guts onto dry land in the end and then it's game over.

Collossus would just edge the Thing. They are pretty much evenly matched on strength, durability, stamina and determination but Collossus has more agility (IMO) and that will give him the edge.

Thor beats Spawn. Yes, Spawn has an almost stupid amount of power and could probably win, but Thor is in the top three of pretty much every list of most powerful comic characters along side Superman and Silver Surfur, and I think he can beat Superman. So personally I will almost always say Thor wins unless he's up against SS.

It doesnt matter who would win in a fight, its a popularity contest, so get off your high horse about spawn because dispite how strong he may be in the comics thor is much more popular and will recieve more votes, so please stop talking about these fights like you have money on em
its all in good fun and i think its a nice concept good job on these fight cards
