"Life with Doom: The Fantastic High Chronicles" The Dr Doom Sitcom Drama Styled TV Show Story Idea and Cast
Imagine for a moment, a much more friendly live action Marvel television show without a seriously silly dark tone. That was what I want to convey with this idea, "Life with Doom: The Fantastic High Chronicles". Read on comic book fans!
"DISCLAIMER: This is a very serious work of fan fiction and everything I write in this is 100% truthful to my own thoughts and opinions. ALSO TO MARVEL or DISNEY: If this may be adapted into a real television show the only credit needed will be my name. Other due process not needed."
Hello comic book fans! Adapting comic books or characters is a difficult feat when it comes to that adaptation being live action. But it's good to say there are a handful of some great shows that have made the proper translation especially Marvel's own Agents of Shield. With more Marvel shows coming in 2015 and a planned Agent Carter show what other Marvel characters could be adapted? Well to start, there is one thing missing within their live action shows and that is a certain formula. None of them appeal to the younger demographic especially kids because of how serious and sometimes really how dark they could get. As much as they love to watch some of Marvel's great animated cartoons (Ultimate Spider-Man and etc) there has never been a true live action Marvel show which has directed towards that group. One channel has greatly proved non animated sitcom styled comedies could work towards that demographic and that is the major success of the Disney Channel.
Which is where my idea of this live action Marvel show comes directly in place. Out with the seriousness and dark themes and in with the all out comedy and non stop fun! Imagine like I said the brilliant comedic formula within their cartoon television show like Ultimate Spider-Man and instead translated to a live action television format. That is the vision they need to give into right now. It will not only improve Marvel's own image but it would finally be that piece to make Marvel fit right in place along Disney who has recently purchased them. Now this type of idea/concept could virtually be done with simply any Marvel character but I decided to take one that not many people are familiar with. Then surrounding him with familiar characters that are generally known. Also adding a familiar setting and twist to the characters to generate towards the ideals of what goals it should be geared to.
The general idea of the story revolves from Latveria to New York where most of the portion of the story deals with a teen Victor Von Doom in this school called Fantastic High. Which is where most of it should have the focus on in terms of story and where we meet many different variations of other Marvel characters that some he makes friends with and others are his enemies type thing. Victor Von Doom in the Marvel comics is a real villain and a menace so it should be kept he is kind of a prankster but with a more heart tone. To make him not seem like a villain but more like a hero. The portion of the story in mind also deals with Victor's own family life.
In the next segment this is characters I had in mind that should appear with an ideal cast of actors/actresses that would make a great addition and a wonderful treat for all comic book fans. Whether you like Arrow, DC, or Marvel there should always be a place for an idea like this.
(Within the show Victor Von Doom is not Dr Doom yet, he is just a simple kid trying to live the normal life with the usual teen problems and stuff. But that does not mean the character can't represent who Dr Doom was, he still could in spirit.)
(Boris was a good friend of Doom in the comics and it should still remain within the series with a few minor changes. He would add a major relating value towards the show.)
(Bob is the whacky eccentric cousin of the Doom family. He is 100% crazy and insane and often does not know what he is doing. He would be the real comedic force to drive this show into oblivion and with the power of this great actor!)
(The main bully of the show who is out to destroy Doom's reputation at all cost in Fantastic High.)
(The principal of Fantastic High who is in charge of everything and has to deal with all the crazy stuff that happens.)
(I always visioned of Tony Stark as a major motivational speaker)
Than you all for reading my idea towards what I would want to see within a project such as this and I am hopeful someone from Marvel or Disney would see this article and hopefully consider this highly. As always comment below and give a thumbs if you like it. I have more brilliant ideas to come along the way and through the years.
