Okay, so to be clear, this is an idea for a Marvel Animated Movie. So don't be like but he's an adult and but that don't make sense because in the comics.... and so on, Okay so let's begin.
Avengers High School Assemble!
I'd have the movie set in a different universe to the 616 but every character would have their 616 costumes and such. Okay so this movie would be filled with cameos and references and this would work because its animated you don't need to see a character over and over in animated form as its a basic but cool look its not like in live action where because its an actor in costume/make up we're checking every detail to be happy.
This would make reference's that wouldn't make sense with the comic as it would be fun now let me get down to the plot.
The Beginning -
Modern day New York, The Avengers are called to a huge explosion at a school inside the Queens area 'Midtown High' a man is stood with a device ejecting a large purple beam up into the sky, As the Quinjet lands and the Avengers who consist of Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, Ms.Marvel, The Vision, Wasp and Antman (Hank Pym) enter the field Ironman reads energy from the beam and states that it is a homing beacon.
The man smiles and says "You were too late your earth's deference's are of no use" and shape shifts into a Skrull as thousands of Skull skips enter the atmosphere filling the sky.
A large group of Super Skrulls land and attack The Avengers leading to a huge battle that lasts two months and takes place during the films opening titles, Showing the battle and different heroes being killed or imprisoned by Skrull teams showing that the Skrulls are taking a group of twenty skrulls to tackle each hero.
The Film then begins with The Avengers team being attacked Vision is ripped in half with his head crushed, Quicksilver shot which leads to Wanda in an insane hysterical state being shot by multiple Skrulls, Hawkeye is show being thrown by a huge skrull into Ms.Marvel and when Thor goes to save them he is quickly grabbed by the same huge Skrull and strangled to death as another huge Skrull holds his arms stretched out. Ironman, Was and Antman have either been killed or imprisoned during the opening titles sequence leaving Captain America the sole Avenger in the battle he is surrounded by Huge Skrulls as smaller foot soldier Skrulls stand back and watch as a beam of light quickly covers Cap and transports him to a S.H.E.I.L.D base, Shocked to discover that S.H.E.I.L.D has survived the assault is confronted by Nick Fury who states that this is a battle that cant be won due to the size of the Skrull armada but there is still hope for the human race, Fury then tells Cap that this S.H.E.I.L.D base is home to a Time Machine made by Kang the Conqueror in this timeline but it only carry's one person due to the pressure used to send somebody back.
Fury explains to Cap that the Skrull who sent the beacon at the start has spent years on earth making a homing beacon that when answered would pull the entire Skrull amarda to earth not giving earth enough time to defend its self and that they had been at Midtown High acting as a student to learn more about earth, Reed Richards, Hank McCoy (Beast) and Henry Pym had created a plan during the assualt on earth to send somebody back in time to Midtown High and discover who the Skrull was while they were in the form of a student, They had originally intended to send Peter Parker (Who in this timeline is still a teenage Spiderman) but he has been missing since the first month of the assault and so they have created a solution that will de-age somebody for a month so that they would fit in with the School students and not appear suspicious.
Cap is given Fury's old contact details as he is the only person who will be able to help once in the past, Taking the solution and stepping into the time machine portal Cap is sent back in time.
Once in the past Steve contacts Fury and is given a safe house to reside in during his time in the past Fury also acts as his uncle while he is placed in Midtown High.
Okay so that was just a chunk but its the set up to the story the next Part would have Steve meet his team mates younger selves and end up forming a team during their high school years so here is the team during the past:
Ironman -
Tony is a teenager, he has been transferred to Midtown by his father to teach him that although he has his family's wealth he is still a normal boy.
He is swarmed by girls and first meets Steve when they argue during a History lesson about the welfare of the soldiers on the battlefield, although Steve knows Tony will grow up to become a brilliant man and knows that he will one day become one of his closest friends he cant tell Tony this and so he has to get used to the still cocky and rash Tony Stark.
Thor -
Thor is also at the school under the disguise of 'Thorin Odinson' an exchange student but in reality he is playing a game of hide and seek with Loki, Balder and Sif in which he is hiding from Loki.
Although he is young he is still a lot more muscular than any other student at Midtown but he has not yet understood the true way of the mortals on midgard, Of all the teen Avengers he respects Steve the most.
Quicksilver & Scarlett Witch -
Pietro and Wanda are two grades below Steve, Thor and Tony and they are quiet and don't speak to anyone else at School, They are talked about as if they are freaks unknowingly they are actually mutants on the run.
Wanda ends up having a crush on Steve but Pietro warns him off although Steve has no interest as he just wants to find the undercover Skrull.
Antman -
Hank is the smartest kid in class and also has girls falling at their feet for him he spends most of his time in the science lab testing his idea of shrinking things but has no luck as everything he tries to shrink grows in size.
Hank and Tony get along with each other more than the rest of the team but Hank likes the idea of Steve putting a secret team together.
Middle -
After meeting the future team mates Steve meets who he believes is the Skrull in disguise but is proven wrong when he see's the real Skrull break a jock bully's arm due to the jock team mocking him, Steve goes to investigate the Skrull's hideout (The school boiler system) and runs into Wanda and Pietro they decide to help their fellow outcast but are forced to leave searching the hideout until after school is closed due to the School Janitor 'Stan The Man' catching them.
During the day Steve witness's a group of teen's picking on a young black boy called 'Sam' when all of a sudden a very early version of Ironman turns up (an Iron suit much like the first suit in the movie but no weapons) and defends Sam, Steve follows Ironman to the school shop class and discovers that it is Tony behind the helmet, Tony reveals that he made the suit to protect his father as he believes he is under threat of being killed by rival business's but he isn't so good at moving around in it or controlling the flight mode, Steve says that he is sure that he'll get it one day.
That night when the school is closed Steve, Wanda and Pietro break in and head for the boiler system but find Thor hiding in the janitor closet he tells them who he really is and that Stand The Man let him stay as long as he isn't caught, The four of them find the Skrull in its true form working on the beacon while communicating with its senior's, Thor wants to attack it but is warned off by Steve but it is too late as the Skrull hears them and attacks. The team manage to escape and are surprised to meet Tony and his family butler Jarvis waiting outside for them in a limo, At Stark Mansion Tony shows the team his work shop and are again surprised to see Hank Pym there it turns out that the two have bonded over their love of science as well as discovering a strange undetected energy source coming from Midtown High, Steve confesses all 'That he is from the future sent to find and stop and alien' but hides the fact that he knows them all in the future including the Avengers and that he is really Captain America.
This revelation marks the teams birth and they all discuss idea's, Steve invited Thor and the twins to stay in the safe house with him to which Fury isn't happy about, During this stage back at Tonys workshop he comments on the fact that if Steve if from the future then what if he really does know them as a group of extraordinary people like that wouldn't go unnoticed.
Next is a montage of the team during school hours and after hanging out becoming friends and making plans to stop the Skrull, Thor meets a girl called Jane and tell's her that she's the first person to make him want to help people as he admires the fact that she wants to become a doctor, Tony befriends a smart boy called 'Bruce' who has a found interest in science as well but thinks he may be too 'Weak' to join the team yet he realises he can be too big headed, Wanda and Pietro learn that they can trust people but also they see that they are not so different to others when they witness a boy defending his sister from jocks being full on with her and scaring her, Hank learn that just because he has not yet discovered a way of shrinking things he still has plenty of time to do so and Steve realised how much he loves his friends and how much he relies on them in the present.
Ending -
The Skrull in his teenager form wordlessly confronts Steve in the school hall during the day only giving a strong glare stating his power, Steve realises that this may be too dangerous for his team as they are still children and although he is in the body of his younger self he is still an adult at mind with all his past experience, That night he goes to the school in a make shift Captain America costume using supplies from the safe house and stealing an old Captain America WW2 costume from a costume store he heads to the school, Meanwhile the team are gathered at Tony's workshop they joke about who gets more dates Tony or Hank and when they joke that who ever has had more gets to take Wanda out, Pietro gets angry at because of this joke and threatens Tony and Hank leading Wanda to defend them by telling him it was just a joke Thor states to Wanda that defending one's family is no joke and Tony tells him that his family obviously are not worried about defending him because they sent him to america, This all leads to the team fighting.
Steve gets to the school field where he finds the Skrull checking the area, Telling the Skrull he knows it's plan the skrull speaks "Human you are yet to experience the true might of the Skrull" they both charge into battle and a fight begins with Steve getting the upper hand.
At Stark Mansion the fight has finished and Thor has left flying into the night sky, Wanda and Pietro are wandering the street where Wanda explains that she will always love Pietro but one day a man will take his role as her protector and be the man she will love in a different way but Pietro will also experience this with a woman, in Tony's workshop Tony and Hank realize that they both have some growing up to do when a stress signals and they see that the Skrulls device's energy source has grown high and could be dangerous.
Meanwhile Steve and the Skrull are still fighting but the fight has left the field and is now taking place in the school with wall's being smashed though, Steve is winning taking punches but giving heavier hit's back when the Skrull rolls over and shoots Steve with a Skrull gun which gives off a large bright light when fired, This light alerts Thor who is high up in the sky watching over Queens and he sores through the sky to Midtown High, The light also alerts Wanda and Pietro and they make their way there using Pietro's speed, The five teen's reach the school at the same time and enter the school with Tony and Hank apologising to Wanda, Pietro and Thor, Thor states that they will always be team mates but more importantly friends because of their time together and that he knows that people make mistakes together they rush to help Steve.
In the school gymnasium a battered Steve carry's on fighting the Skrull but it is using it's gun to keep him back, finally it gains the upper hand and knocks him down again stepping over him and pointing the gun at his now unmasked face, Pietro speeds up punching the Skrull sending it flying back and Tony in his Ironman suit, Henry wearing a suit (resembling his Ultimate Giant man suit) Thor holding a sword that he had kept in the janitor's closet and Wanda stand in the entrance to the gym ready to attack the Skrull, Steve smiles but then the Skrull is heard laughing.
"You people surprise me yes.... but you don't know the power I also hold" Growing to a huge Hulk like size the Skrull roars!, Hank grows to a taller size using his failed experiments to his advantage, Tony begins to charge his suits energy, Wanda and Pietro get into fighting stance as well as Thor and Steve gets up looking back at the team he turns to look at the Skrull monster and yell's "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!" charging into battle the team begin to fight the monster singly, Thor slashes at it with the Asguardian sword, Wanda uses hexes and Pietro speeds around it attacking from below, Hank being taller in size attacks from above while Steve and Tony throw punches and kicks but the Skrull is too strong, throwing the team back Steve says they need to attack it together using all powers combined, Thor then says they need to lead it outside to save the school and so he can get better blows to the Skrull.
With Tony leading the way the team lead the Skrull out to the field using the sky Thor flies up and sores back down delivering a large blow to the Skrull while Hank holds it down, As it tries to get back up Wanda delivers powerful hexes stunning the Skrull, It gets up pushing Hank away and Steve and Tony run up delivering a shattering blow to its head knocking it down, Hank and Tony rush to the Boiler System and combining their knowledge of machinery they safely destroy the device.
Returning to the field the team remark on how they have saved the day when the Skrull begins to get up Thor holds his sword to the sky and summons a large thunder bolt down upon it and Tony quickly fires an energy bolt at it killing it finally, The team turn to Tony and he shrugs "Hey this baby only has room for one of those", Steve steps forward and tells the team he is proud of them but before he can finish his sentence Fury walks over claiming that he has kept an eye on the events all along and that he is impressed and pulls out a camera and snaps a picture leaving a strange golden shine in the teams eyes apart from Steve.
Fury tells Steve that the camera is a S.H.E.I.L.D device used to wipe minds meaning that the team will never remember a thing Steve was only unaffected because he has used time travel, Taking Steve to the same time machine he has used to time travel (only unused) he states that he is surprised that the thing ever worked he would have thought that it would kill the user to which Steve comments that doesn't surprised him, Steve notices his hands growing meaning that the solution he took is wearing off he says goodbye and steps inside leaving Fury wondering why he had an old Captain America costume on, We then see what happens to the team with Fury doing a voice over:
Tony forgetting the events that took place forgot about his Ironman suit and went on to become the playboy he is renowned for and take's over Stark industries living life normally until the day that lead to the events of him becoming Ironman, Hank went on to college and met Janet his future wife and the future Wasp he later finally discovered the solution to shrinking and called it Pym Particles, Thor is finally found on earth by Loki and the two leave for Asguard with Thor having a feeling that he may come back to the place he calls Midgard and Wanda and Pietro move on leaving America until they are finally sought out by Magneto to join his brotherhood unknown that he is their father.
This voice over is being done by the Fury of present day on the S.H.E.I.L.D Helicarrier as we get to see a view of New York and see that the Skrull armys have gone meaning it was stopped all those years ago. We then see him greet a now back to being fully grown Steve from the Time Machine having it taken away to be destroyed, Steve goes to Avengers Mansion recognising it as the Stark Mansion and is greeted by The Avengers, Ironman questions where he has been to which he responds "Saving us some time"
And then the credits with an after credits scene -
Showing somebody looking at the Midtown High seniors class photo's and spotting the teen Avengers to which we see Stand The Man the janitor walking by and saying "What a great year that was" to which the stranger says in a deep voice "Yes but the best year is yet to come" turning away and showing it to be Kang The Conqueror in a human disguise.
Other characters that appear through cameo in the movie During the past:
Hawkeye - Clint Barton is heard of being watched by talent scouts for is brilliant skills.
Bruce Banner/Hulk - Tony meets a young Bruce at school, We see a fallen Hulk during the opening credits.
The Fantastic Four - The Thing and Reed are seen being killed during the opening credits while Johnny and Sue are imprisoned, Reed is mentioned on Stand The Man's radio as winning an award for a Scientific Achievement.
The X-Men - Wolverine is seen being cornered by a big group of Skrulls in the opening credits before unleashing his claws and going berserker, other X-Men are seen being killed or imprisoned, Charles Xavier is seen on the TV in the safe house giving a talk on Mutant's.
Falcon/ Sam Wilson - Is saved from bullies by Ironman in the past.
