The first episode wasn't all that bad. There were a lot of changes to the origin, but it was still pretty good. I set up a series recording on my DVR, so it'll get watched.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Didn't like Splinter being human at one time, or the absence of Casey, but overall, it looks great. Looking forwards to the second season, and more Krang!

I loved it. I liked how Splinter was a man, it is reminiscent of the 87 series.. which is my favorite of all the turtles properties, even the mirage comics.

The show is geared for kids but adults can still enjoy it.

Pros: Turtles look cool, each has a distinct look aside from weapon & color of mask.
For example,Donatello is taller than the rest & has missing front tooth,Raphael has cracked front shell & other such details. Nice.
Also, the show is funny. Mikey is pretty hilarious.
The action & stories are familiar but fresh, good stuff.

Cons: Splinter once being human isn't a big deal but I don't like him being bigger than the
turtles & he's to slick looking, very stylish. He looked better very grizzled & rat-like.
April being a teenage girl is annoying but I suppose female kids need a girl to watch. I guess.

@comiccow6, I think Splinter being a human makes more sense. Think about the original origin. He's a regular rat who somehow possesses the intelligence to learn martial arts from his owner. Not to mention the fact that he's able to achieve the physical movements needed to perform martial arts.

Then there's the way he's always portrayed as being elderly. Rats don't live that long. Maybe 5 years, tops. He wouldn't be that much older than the turtles when they all mutated.

And once they were mutated, he had enough intelligence to teach himself to speak, as well as teach and raise them.

If he were already an older human and a martial artist before being mutated, the character makes a lot more sense.

Im just thrilled my 3 year old daughter is into something that i loved as a kid. And lets face it, there are definately worse things i could be forced to watch with her than this. I actually enjoyed it.

I do wish they would make a new TMNT live action movie that is in line with the original comics. Dark and violent. The turtles have been for kids for a long long time though, so i doubt that will ever happen.

Oh well, we always have the original live action movie, which wasnt too far off from the mirage comics as far as violence and grittiness. I still love that movie to this day. :)
