New BEWARE THE BATMAN Promo Images Hit

Some new (low-res) images from Cartoon Network's Beware The Batman have found their way online via the DC Nation magazine, giving us our first good looks at characters such as Alfred, Katana and Professor Pyg. Hit the jump to check them out.

Thanks to Tumblr blog DC Women Kicking Ass, we have some new low-res promo images for Cartoon Network's upcoming CG animated series Beware The Batman, which is scheduled to begin airing in early 2013. The following images (which appear in a recent issue of the DC Nation magazine) give us our first looks at some of the characters that'll be included in the show, such as Alfred, Katana, and the villainous Professor Pyg and Mr. Toad. Beware The Batman will be a different animated take on the Caped Crusader, as he takes on lesser known villains alongside Alfred and his new sidekick Katana (according to the show's producers, "In Katana, Batman sees someone who has lost her way and needs some guidance to find the right path."). The characters Humpty and Metamorpho will also be seen in the series. The voice cast includes Anthony Ruivivar as Batman, Sumalee Montano as Katana, J.B. Blanc as Alfred, and Kurtwood Smith as Lt. James Gordon.

this is gonna be one weird show for me, if i ever get around to watching it.

The only thing I truly don't like is the length of Batman's ears. Other than that, I'm definitely giving it a shot.

This actually looks good. I'm still not sure about the quality of the series and storytelling overall, but design-wise, it looks good.

I still can't believe they cancelled Batman Brave and the Bold for this.

This reminds me of a crumby mix of Green Lantern and The Batman. So I will take the title of this show literally and beware of Beware the Batman.

Alfred is buff! They should tone down his body mass. Overall, I will be watching Beware The Batman, because I'm a huge Batman fan.

Poor Poor Alfred so much for Bruce surogate father who helped Bruce through his parent's death. So much for the staunch supporter and rock in Bruce's life who no matter what was always there in an ever dark and maddening world. Alfred as we know him is dead to these people kids will no longer see Bruce's greatest confidant they will see some buffed out gun toting ex British spy I feel for them.

Btw, Alfred looks like Jason Statham with a bowler hat. Way to ruin a character. And who gives a crap about Katana? Why in the world would SHE be Batman's sidekick? Exactly, she wouldn't. Hope this show never makes it to TV. If it does, I hope it's cancelled after the first episode.
