movie was okay at best; overrated, obvious plot twist, bane sounded like a combo of shredder and dart vader, wasted potential...and no joker references/arkham asylum reference...wow

People who keep choosing sides between The Avengers and TDKR are total idiots. Don't be so close minded. I for one loved both for different reasons. They both satisfied me as an audience member and kept me wanting more by the end.

Be real people both those movies were GOOD-ER-THAN-A-BITCH! :D

Cool. Although it seems a lot of people didn't like it. Sad. I think people need to realize this is Nolan's world, it's not like Marvel films, they aren't an adaption to the material to fit on film, they are an adaption to fit into his world.

I personally like his world, I just hope someday we get some Batman films which are closer to the comics.

Agreed. Max Landis is an idiot. If you go into a comic book MOVIE thinking that it's gonna do wonders to your favorite late night snuggie comic book, prepare to be disappointed. Why? Because it's a movie, with its own original screenplay and story, not a page for page cinema adaptation. This is where common sense should come into play.
Fantastic film, by the way. I didn't know I could get so many chill bumps!

Alfred is so heartbreaking I nearly cried even only by seeing him. Bane is...pretty damn amazing. (Might be spoilers ahead.) Him crying near the end of his life is a pretty nice touch. The dubbing misses in places, though, but it doesn't matter much.

The ENDING is just WOW. I can't describe it. Really. Seeing Blake, jumping into the cave, the bats "greeting" him, and the Batcave rising with him above it...I don't know. What a thrilling moment.

Hans Zimmer's score plays a big role in the whole movie - although, silence is sometimes golden, too, as it's been proven by the first confrontation between Bane and Batman. Great action scenes also, by the way.

It's just great. Far from perfect, but it's great. I can't make out the comparison with its predecessors yet, though, but a perfect trilogy? Sure.

One thing: John Blake-Grayson sounds better than Robin John Blake. (Or, John Robin Blake?) How it ends with him is still brilliant, though.

I still am up in the air about it, on one hand it's awesome, the other it's a mess and kind of dumb. Im gonna go see it again tomorrow and maybe get a better view of judgement

I was extremely disappointed by TDKR. I do want to see it again because I wanted to like this movie so bad. I loved the first 2 Nolan films. I do have one question though. Can someone explain why Bane in this movie is such a threat? He was trained by ra's al ghul the same as Bruce Wayne. So just the fact that he has more muscles makes him this crazy unstoppable force. He is not the Bane from the comics, which is fine, but I feel they never did a great job explaining what made him so powerful. Maybe I missed something, can someone explain it?

Yes, Talia's death was a bit...lacking, to me. She appeared to just suddenly close her eyes, and die. So...well, lacking.

I'm still (oh, spoilers!) wondering why Juno Temple's character is just "Jen," and not "Holly Robinson," when she clearly is. Then again, though, Nolan apparently prefers to create characters that simply are analogous to the classic ones. I'd still see her as Holly.

Hell, there are actually numerous things I'd like to complain about the movie...plot holes, et cetera. But, its amount of greatness just stops me from doing so.

Any reference to JGL potentially being Batman in the future just ruins it for me already. JGL isn't Batman material in my book and to suggest all this franchise was about was Batman fighting a handful of villains at a few different points and being on vacation due to insecurity issues for most of the timeline and now he is hanging up the cape...that just doesn't settle well for me. The franchise is over, so there will be a reboot and no JGL, so that is just the wrong way to go in my opinion. To each their own, but now I am even more skeptical about going to see this.

LOL. I love the more honest tweets from Max Ellis, Ellis Brent Ellison, and Bendis.

1.) Instead of giving us a really interesting interpretation of one or two classic stories like Knightfall or No Man's Land, Nolan gave us a bunch of half-assed stories mixed into one.

2.) This movie has zero chance of winning a best picture nod if what Ellison wrote is true.

3.) Too bad the film did have to compete against the Avengers.

saw it - overall it was okay. Best part about it was the first Bane vs. Batman fight. Other than that I thought it was just okay. Cinematography was excellent tho, just not the fitting end I was hoping for.

Ranger14: To me, seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Batman would be interesting - yes, he's not a Batman material, but it would simply be interesting - but, that's my opinion, and is not exactly the point. That scene is just great for me since it shows how the whole trilogy emphasizes on Batman as a symbol/legend, and that Blake will continue the legacy in a tale that we will never see. It's not about Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Batman - as I've never expected to see him fully in the role whatsoever - it's more about the scene alone that's so well done it works pretty perfectly as a close to the trilogy.
It's there, and it's done. Reboot? Yes, go on with it.

I myself want to see a Batman reboot rather than another continuation...although, only AFTER the Justice League movie; if the latter will never happen, then I'm fine with not getting any reboot at all.

They are more honest because their tweets actually dared criticize or reveal less than glowing opinions towards TDKR on the internet. These days you can get a death threat online if you dare speak negative of the film. I bet their Twitter accounts are chock full of buttsore.

While TDK was clearly a tighter/probably better movie. TDKR had so many stand up and "[frick] YEAH" moments. Plus when i think about the ending, this is how the end of movie feeling went for me and my friends when the title popped up

TDK: *sit in awe for 5 minutes*

The Warner Bros tweet made me laugh out loud. Nice to see them referencing the other big comic book movie of the year. I know it's a small thing but I like it.

I have ZERO problem writing that TASM wasn't that good.

I've gotten into discussion with Spiderman fans about it.

Even most will admit the origin story was forced and unnecessary, that Dr. Ratha was a waste of a character, that the end part where Spidey needs help from the garters to get to Lizard was dumb, or that the end credits scene was lame.

So why is that Nolanites can't be as reasonable or rational?
