POLL: What DC Comics Title Do You Want Added To The NEW 52? POLL: What DC Comics Title Do You Want Added To The NEW 52?

The April solicitations for DC Comics revealed two cancellations on the horizon which means two new titles will debut in May. There's an announced Superman title that's likely to be one of the new books but what about the other?

THE FOURTH WAVE

Cancelled: "G.I. Combat" cancelled in December. "Blue Beetle," "Grifter," "Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E." and "Legion Lost" all ending in January

New Series: Threshold #1 (Jan 16th), Justice League of America #1 (February 6th), Katana #1 (February 13th), JLA's Vibe #1 (February 20th), Constantine #1 (March 13th )

Note: DC is putting out a special Valentines Day One-shot in February so there will still be 52 titles that month.

THE FIFTH WAVE

Cancelled: I, Vampire and DC Universe Presents ending in April
New Series: ???

For every cancellation, there's a new title to take its place in order to keep DC's New 52 initiative at 52 issues each month. We know Man of Steel, the new Superman title from Scott Snyder and Jim Lee will have a special preview in DC's Free Comic Book Day issue out on May 4th. There's a good chance that the title could launch later that month, right before Warner Bros. release of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel on June 14th. If we continue with that line of thought, that means there will be at least one new title launching in May to keep the 52 title mandate. Who would you like it to be? Perhaps a solo title for Cyborg, Shazam transitioning from being a back-up in Justice League to getting his own series or maybe that long rumored WildC.A.T.s series from Jim Lee? Or perhaps something unexpected like a series for the Robins, Sensation Comics starring Wonder Woman (she's the lone Trinity member w/o multiple books) or maybe Doom Patrol? Have your own suggestion, select other and be sure to specify in the comments section.

I vote for Vic Sage: The Question; write him as he was on JLU and they'll have a hit on their hands.

Hmmm I would love to see Jason Todd in a Red Hood series or a solo Booster Gold series, unlikely I know but a fan can dream.

Shazam or another Wonder Woman title would be cool. Though, I'd love to see a new Superman/Batman title in the near future.

I say end some of the peripheral Batman titles. I mean, are they really that necessary? Do we need Batman and Robin, Detective Comics, Batman, BatGIRL, BatWOMAN, Robin, Red Hood, Batman Inc., AND Nightwing? I'm sorry, but it's kind of overkill, if you ask me.

Also, I,Vampire is ending? Too bad...

I agree with @Grif we don't need any more batman titles, in fact we dont need any more books where he even appears. He is far too over done, I love me some Bats. But the books he's on now, is plenty.

They're cancelling I, Vampire??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
WTF?!?!?!?
That was, by far THE best of ALL The New 52 books.
But nobody read it.
It hasn't been said on the web, in a while, but do declare that to be an
EPIC FAIL
on allof our parts as well as DC's.

I voted for the Robins only because I absolutely Love Nightwing and Red Hood. I would like to see another title featuring them. Also Shazaam or possibly Cyborg

@giannis I think that would be sweet, do you think it would have to be based on luther, or the crime syndicate. Its hard to make a book about a villian group tho.

A Shazam full series, with Gary Frank on the art. That's enough to make it my personal must-read. Crime Syndicate of America or Earth 3 sounds cool, too - I really love the team and the whole concept of an opposite universe overall, so...yeah. That's highly unlikely, though. And New Gods, that I'd like to see. Robins and Cyborg sound like cool ideas, but I don't know if they can carry out solo titles on their own.

The last thing, and I do mean the very last thing, we need is another GODDAMN Batman book.

Captain Marvel, please! If not Billy, Diana needs another book, but Mark Waid needs to be the pen. He also needs to be the pen for Action Comics because I think Diggle is going to crash. He's never written a character like Superman, I don't think he'll do well.

CavEl - 1/19/2013, 12:44 PM
Hey Marvel, who do you want for Mark Waid. Anyone is on the table except Johns, Azzarello and Snyder.

Other - Lobo needs his own title again. Not the shitty Lobo from Deathstroke either. I want the beat the crap out of Superman Lobo. Get on it DC.

Would have chosen Wonder Woman (my fav DC character) but I really hate what they did with her. Why don't they just call her Lady Hercules.

sorry to keep bringing up 'the joker', but a series following him - or even another major villain - would be something NEW for F's sake. the joker GN was incredible, and correct me if im wrong, but there's never been a solid series following a villain for more than a limited run, right?

even if there has been one before, i think that now would be an excellent time for DC to add a villain title to the new 52. think about some of the 'deadpool' stuff: it can be cannon and all, but it could offer a new view into their lives and stuff they do other than always the 'events' face-offs which are a dime a dozen.

(btw if DC or anybody is monitoring these sites, i have a billion ideas/scripts to contribute & id work for cheap as hell just for the opportunity to get a foot in the door :)

new GL for when and if Hal and Sinestro come back so Baz can have his own series.

I would buy a Harley Quinn solo book, she is just crazy enough in Suicide Squad to keep me interested.

I propose something different, what if they did a villain title? A solo title on character like Hush for example, where we see everything from his perspective, how he outthinks various heroes and narrowly escapes, more internal dialogue from the villain... you can have different heroes pop in and out over story arcs, pit villain against villain, or show how some of the upper tier guys manipulate the lower tier characters... Some of my favorite crime novels give you the inside track on the villain, and you see things unfold from their view. The surprise isn't so much the reveal of their crime, but how they get away or get caught...

Bring back Hawk and Dove. They were great before stupid Rob Liefeld took over them this last time. I love them, but his art made me hate the Title. Please bring them back with a better artist!!

I second a comment above, new series featuring Wally West, if only.

But more realistically, Spectre, or Dr. Fate, or the Atom are a few cool characters I would like to see.
