Poll: Who Should Get The Cameo Spot In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Poll: Who Should Get The Cameo Spot In JUSTICE LEAGUE? Poll: Who Should Get The Cameo Spot In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

It's not confirmed but we have a report from veteran scoopers Latino Review that Justice League will only feature 5 core members, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern. But there's room for at least one cameo from another hero...maybe two.

Feature Opinion

As previously reported a few days ago, Justice League will have 5 core members with a possible cameo from Aquaman, Martian Manhunter or wildcard option, Hawkman. Another rumor is that Darkseid will be the main villain in the film, which means boom tubes and intergalactic warfare. With that in mind I'd have to say Martian Manhunter most likely has the inside track on a cameo and even Thanagarian-Hawkman (as opposed to ancient, reincarnated pharaoh Hawkman) falls more inline with that concept than the King of Atlantis. One thing that does have the left side of my brain tingling is the ever-growing rumor that Matthew Vaughn has the directing gig now that he's lost out in the Star Wars sweepstakes. Vaughn is well known for sweeping in and making his own changes to the script, so if it turns out he is directing expect him to make swiss-cheese out of Will Beal's script; creating a strong possibility for a reshuffling of the roster. With all that in mind, this would be a good time to open up the discussion about who you think is most deserving of a cameo in Justice League. Vote wisely then make your best case for your pick in the comment section below.

I feel like Martian Manhunter needs more than just a cameo to be a character audiences who are not well-versed in comic books would be interested in. Especially considering his usually emotionless exterior. I think Hawkman would b a better option and I actually think a Hawkman movie could be amazing!

If I were to choose someone not from the list - I would go with Black Canary. It'll seem odd having just one female on The Avengers and just on in the Justice League and people may think that they're just copying Avengers. Another kick-ass female in there who is also a fan-favorite would be awesome! PLUS, she's one of the original JL founding members!

Following up on my previous comment, they could have Hawkgirl! An inspired choice and a kick-ass woman!

Is this movie actually happening? Its not just a rumor anymore? We can actually expect a full-fledged Justice League movie come 2015?

Martian Manhunter or Black Canary.

I know the chances of Black Canary appearing are slim to none, but if they did it, they could build-up to Green Arrow joining the team in the sequel.

I think it is smart to keep the first run of characters limited, especially to those core 5 that most people are familiar with. Anymore than that, or any totally obscure characters (like Martian Manhunter for example) would probably dilute the story too much.

However, as far as a cameo goes I'm going to have to say loudly MARTIAN MANHUNTER FTW!!!

He is by far my favorite of JLA and easily the coolest character. I say give him an AWESOME cameo at the end to open up to his own solo film.

Wait, wait, wait.....what am I talking about....this is WB were talking about here....they will [frick] it up and therefore my points are moot.

Nevermind.

I don't care for Matthew Vaughn. He should just stick to the Mark Millar adaptations and maybe a X-Men spinoff (Deadpool?). I'm pretty confident that The Wachowskis will get the gig. They're fantastic with VFX and handling dynamic action sequence (see: The Matrix and Speed Race). While I haven't seen Cloud Atlas, I think it's a test to see how they balance out multiple storylines and a cast of thousands. I don't think Jupiter Rising will interrupt production for a Justice League, they filmed Reloaded and Revolutions back-to-back!

Oh, and I agree with @batmitedimension about Hawkgirl. Otherwise, I voted for Martian Manhunter due to the narrating possibilities.

I think the movie should end with one of the members(I would like to see Batman)talking about the future of league, and like, several scenes with cameos, and maybe and ending with an image of the Watchtower. I don't know, I would like to see that, wouldn't be sourprised if no one liked my idea, lol!

J'onn is a shape shifter. He could be in the movie the whole time as an important character till the end when you find out who he is.

@ELgUaSoN that's the whole point. Less characters so they can spend the time developing each one properly.

Aquaman but I still have reservations about the publics opinion of him, hell even I laugh at him most of the time, Johns run has been a brilliant read and made him more badass but most don't read comics.

I put my money on Aqua man. I would love to say Hawkman but he's to close to Batman, in terms of costume and modeled after a flying animal. Martian Manhunter isn't going to happen. They're not going to put three heroes with capes in the movie. And plus MM powers are similar to Supermans. The Atlantean is the only one that stands out among our choices. And plus the going to try and capitalize on that whole "land, sea and air" trifecta.

WruceBayne - 1/26/2013, 4:48 AM
@Elguason
We don't need character development with most of these heroes. Everybody knows Superman is an orphan from Krypton. Batman can't let the past go. Green Lantern had his own movie. The Flash and Wonder Woman is the only ones they have to build up.
zaplayer

on that list there are only 2 members who where not founders.... hawkman and martian manhunter and the core members are superman, batman, wonder woman, aquaman and the flash.

It depends what makes sense, for the plot. Remember we've not had a lot of films building up to this so the first problem is the domino steps of reality. All of a sudden there's a shape-changing martian, when we've already got to deal with the additions of wonder woman and flash? They really both needed their own movies, WW and Flash. Then we have the friggin' king of Atlantis come out of nowhere?
Actually, Aquaman would make the most sense. They could fairly easily link the Amazons and the Atlanteans, through ancient Greece and they could even hint at a link with the Kryptonians andthe ancient Greek gods. In a Supreme Power kind of way. Then we've just got Batman, who is the relatable human element. He's our "in". And we all know his story, anyway, especially fresh off the Dark Knight trilogy. Then there's Flash and Green Lantern. Green Lantern is cosmic and the Green Lantern corps could have had Kryptonian links, also.
Yeah, fvck it, they could really fit everyone's stories in there plus Aqauman and Martian Manhunter.

Aquaman is a joke to most people because they haven't taken notice of him in the New 52. If they display him in the movie as he is in the comics now, there will be no more of thinking Aquaman as a joke.
