They should do a second MCU. A Marvel Knights cinema imprint. Use the second tier and street level characters, make lower budget movies more focused on crime fighting and less superheroing. Just a thought but that have the rights to most of the proper characters for it. DD, Punisher, Blade, then use Moonknight, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight... so many more.

Hmmm... I can understand them not just going ahead and saying, "Ok, we got it back. Make it right now!" I'm wondering though if they did get Spider-man, FF, or X-men back would they make films for them? Or would they put them on hold?

It's taken this long to write and re-write cus Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish have been crazy busy. While Marvel Studios figure out their timeline in a concrete fashion, they're making and writing other films which mean a lot to them.

It looks like the stars finally align. Can't wait. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim are all in my top 10 films.

That's awesome. Imagine a Marvel Knights movie based on the comic series with Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, and Blade. A new street level team that has to confront a supernatural threat. I think that would be awesome. Combine the Knights stuff and the Midnight Sons stuff and and you could even tie it into the rest of the MU after Dr. Strange as he assembles the team to go after the Darkhold.

@superotherside, if Spidey/XMen/F4 rights did revert back, they'd have years to plan and fold it into their universe.

They knew Daredevil & Blade were headed back, they're just letting them cool off after people's bad memories fade a little more.

I actually still don't believe Ant-man will happen. It started pre-production the same time as Iron Man and Incredible Hulk, ya know? I'm sure Wright wants to make it, but he keeps finding other things he wants to make more. I don't blame him, but still...if they wanna make this, it's probably time to think about another director.

Also, if it DOES come out, Ant-Man is Phase 3. Avengers 2 is the end of Phase 2.

Ahhh shit! GR is back with Marvel?! Yes! Whenever they decide to do GR again, they should do the Dan Ketch storyline. It'll probably be years though because of that awful GR: SOV.

superotherside after iron man and avengers, x-men and spider-man are two of the most known comic book franchises, so I'd say at least both of them would be very important to marvel. FF they would hold a while, but is still very important because of Richards influence on Marvel universe.

Ghost Rider is pretty much back at MARVEL...lets be honest, 2 movies criticaly panned and the last one was a huge bomb, top it with Nicholas Cage as the main character and you have a property that nobody wants.

Incredibly true to the comics? after IM3 that will be a refreshing change of pace. looking forward to this. also, good to hear Ghost Rider's back as well because those movies were god awful.

Hopefully F4 never gets off the ground this year and the rights will revert. Then maybe we will get a Civil War storyline at the end of Phase 3!

Mary Winstead for Wasp would be awesome! And they definitely should make a Marvel Knights movie. If DC is planning a JL Dark movie, then Marvel should plan a Marvel Knights movie.

Iron Man wasn't made to be a trilogy. I hate to break it to some of you. Once they introduced the Avengers concept it wasn't self-contained but a chapter within a larger series.

It's cool if they can put mephisto in there when infinite gauntlet roles around, however I think loki would work well in that role too.
