Marvel Gives ANT-MAN A 2015 Release Date; IRON MAN 3 And THOR 2 To Be Released In 3D

Marvel Studios and Disney have announced that Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World will be released in 3D, while also confirming that Edgar Wright's Ant-Man will finally hit theatres in 2015. It was thought that Marvel might consider squeezing Ant-Man in between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, but it has now been confirmed that the film will finally hit theatres on November 6th, 2015. It's worth noting that this is AFTER the release of Joss Whedon's Untitled Avengers Sequel, so whether the character will be introduced in that film beforehand remains to be seen. The studio also confirmed (somewhat predictably) that both Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World will be released in 3D.

Marvel's ANT-MAN will infest theaters on 11/6/15.

So Ant-Man isn't part of phase 2?!pfft. I wouldn't release Iron Man 3 in 3D since, the first 2 weren't but obviously they want as much money as they can get.

Developmentally this is great for the movie. Theres no need to rush it so it can be out by a 2014 date. I do kinda worry that the interest in the movie wit the GA might not be big if it isnt placed before Avengers 2

If ant man is the start on phase 3 then phase 3 will begin 6 months after phase 2 ends. marvel are kicking major ass

While I am excited for the next phase of Marvel movies, I will admit that I am a lil disappointed. The only "new" movie that's part of Phase 2 is GOTG. More than likely, there won't be any new avengers(Falcon might join and, as stated above, Ant-Man MIGHT appear). I doubt GOTG will team up with The Avengers in The Avengers 2 but who knows. So Phase 3 should be new characters(starting with Ant-Man/Giant-Man, Black Panther, and etc.)

Hopefully they'll use Phase 3 to introduce other new characters (ie Black Panther, Dr. Strange, the Nova Corps)

Dates are Month,Day,Year, so Ant-Man is November 6th. It SHOULD have been released before the first Avengers film in order to have the CORRECT original line-up, or at the very least introduce the characters in that film. Now they aren't even introduced before the Avengers sequel???

Marvel you effed it up not once but twice. Shame.
