@Dev7 the hell you're talking about? Spielberg is involved in this, dude. Yes, even if he's just exec producer, it's pretty clear that Trevorrow keeps Steven close to the project and they surely planned a lot together about every little thing during development. And still, it's not like him being the director instead of the producer would fix all that CGI that seems to be the main focus of criticism for this movie so far, the digital artists would still work the same way.

I'd say giving the rights back to marvel is what you're looking for.

Wow this shit looks terrible.. That cgi is awful! How does the original movie made 20 years ago look better than this crap?

@jimoakley666 this is what I'm hoping as well. It's Jurassic Park, with so many great names working on this greater name stupid things like CGI shouldn't go wrong, they won't allow it. Hell, look at what happened with the whole gate thing, it would be really dumb if the final movie trying to make you believe a Dinosaur can walk again looks unfinished, which is why I don't think they'll allow themselves to [frick] this shit up. At the same time, I guess it's kinda good that we're worrying more about the CG than the plot or the passion or how faithful it is, because if the marketing tells us something is that the staff is really passionate about JP and that they know their shit about the original work, they put "Chilean Sea Bass" on one of the menus for [frick]s sake. An uncanny looking CG dinosaur is our biggest concern right now, and judging by the Mosasaur scene it's very likely that they're still making progress towards a perfected look, or finished progress recently and we're just seeing old pics.

Someone could clone an actual dinosaur, take a picture of it, and upload it to the internet and fanboys would still bitch that the CG looks fake. People are desensitized to CGI nowadays. They see it so much that they're no longer impressed by it. Now they only look at CG to pick it apart to prove that it's fake. Everybody just needs to lighten the [frick] up.

Most of the issue with the CGI comes from the lighting. The original used shadow and a faint mist in order to blend them in with their surroundings. The new version sticks them straight in glaring sunlight. Though i do admit the modern CGI is weaker because they spend less time working on each individual scene... more CGI = less time working on the CGI = lower quality CGI

Thats some serious nonsense right there :P It is not the fact people are aware of CGI, as they have been aware of CGI since the original Jurassic Park. It is simply that companies no longer spend as much time focusing on the CGI for individual scenes because their is generally more CGI in films nowadays

"It's not nonsense. It's the truth. You can't ignore facts just because you're a hipster d-bag with no life. The CGI in Jurassic world looks way better than in Jurassic Park. In Jurassic Park it was mostly shots in the dark and far away. Do you work for a special effects company? How do you know how much time they spend on CGI? You don't because you're a little whining baby. Gonna cry? Get back under your bridge you pathetic troll."

So apparently i am all this because i know that CGI looks better from a distance in darkness where you dont have to focus as much on glare on the skin... good to know that you so sensibly conveyed that without any hint that you are simply annoyed because someone disagreed with you on the internet. I mean, you've done all this because someone disagreed with you about rushed CGI? congrats on your outburst... xD

@StiltMantis
As for a more serious response to your 'questions'

"Do you work for a special effects company?"
- No, do you? Otherwise trying to use this as a reason i cannot comment on CGI is flawed.

"How do you know how much time they spend on CGI?"
- Logic dictates that if their are less CGI scenes in one movie than another, that people working on the CGI will have more time to focus on the movie with less CGI. Jurassic World understandably has more CGI than Jurassic Park due to being more modern as such, Jurassic World has a higher chance of the CGI being rushed or weaker in places.

"You don't because you're a little whining baby. Gonna cry?"
- No, because your comment is a rather bland outburst from someone who got annoyed that i disagreed with him about something that he has no stake in. Its honestly rather childish of yourself especially with all your ranting.

@Scarilian Hey dumb ass. Yes, I work in the special effects industry. There are thousands of people working on Jurassic World compared to hundreds on Jurassic Park. So, you idea that there is less time to work on it compared to the original is [frick]ing stupid. It's not rushed. These folks, of which I know many, have been working on this movie for over a year now. So, why don't you just shut your mouth instead of making stuff up. It looks way better than Jurassic Park. Remember that you are a failure and that no one likes you when you are stocking the shelves at wal-mart you hipster scrotum.

I'm one of those freaky freaks who actually enjoyed all 3 previous JP's (but the first was by far the best), and yet, I have about as much interest in this as I do the next Terminator... which pretty much means ZERO.

The worst year for big summer movies in a long time. Avengers 2 then nothing till SW. LAME.
