Was a bit gutted we didn't get to see any War Machine/Iron Patriot team up with Iron Man fighting like we did at the end of 2......Iron Man 2 had it's flaws but the back to back scene was epic.

......can't remember if Iron Patriot even used that cannon on his shoulder?

Man, I think that one of the few problems I had with this film is the lack if War Machine/Iron Patriot action with Rhodey. I mean, outside the armor, Rhodey was kicking all kinds of ass, but during his time in the armor? Sadly, no. And what @TopCat said, I think another back-to-back/team-up action sequence with Tony and Rhodey would've been [frick]ing sweet.

Also, in the first pic with the War Machine design on the bottom right-hand corner, is it me, or does it look very similar to the Ultimate War Machine? Either way, looks pretty badass.

@batz - That is one badass shot of the two. [frick]ing LOVE it. ;)

@TheDailySuperHero - Yeah, man. I mean, don't get me wrong, just because we got the lack of armor action with Rhodey in IM3, it didn't really take away the entertainment in the film. At least Cheadle got more action in here than in IM2. But nonetheless, adding in a back-to-back sequence with Tony and Rhodey (in armor) against the Extremis soldiers would've been better.

@TopCat - And yeah, dude. He did use his shoulder canon in one scene during IM3. I think it was during when IP stormed into this hideout somewhere in the Middle East and then Tony called him to help him "hack" into the AIM database.

@TopCat89 - I would have actually liked to see Iron Patriot is action as well. He never participated in a proper fight, he was just a big fat tease.

Oh wait are you telling me War Machine was in IM3?

Such a waste of an awesome character in IM3. I am sorry but I felt as though they made Rhodey look like a hacky side kick, hmmmm kinda like Lethal Weapon...

I seem to recall seeing pictures of Iron Patriot and Mark 42 parked outside the restaurant.

But in the movie there was only mark 42.

I really wish we could've seen more War Machine in action. I loved the whole "War Machine is cooler than Iron Patriot" gag. It would've been nice to see the black and silver armor more. His new helmet is pretty awesome.

Shame WM didn't make it in the final cut, it's arguably one of the 2 best armor designs in the movie, the other being the Gemini suit.

The book is a double-edge sword - great artwork, but when you look at the storyboards for the final battle, you realize how much more awesome it could've been with a lot of the suits' abilities showcased.
