The Marvel One-Shot "All Hail The King" already established that Trevor is just a regular guy, born and raised on Earth, and that The Mandarin is an entirely different person than Trevor.

Love the theory and love the effort put into this...but yeah, I'm pretty certain this isn't true at all.

I mean, it's an awesome find that Trevor Slattery and Tryco Slatterus resemble each other so much, and I'm sure that's just yet another fun little easter egg that Feige threw in there...but come on, I seriously doubt Sir Ben Kingsley is going to keep coming back in such a prominent, goofy, out-there role. He had his fun with Trevor, got his chance to be in a really fun, uncommon, change-of-pace role, but I'm pretty sure he's done with the MCU except for MAYBE a fun little cameo or something. Plus, that One-Shot basically confirms that Trevor is exactly what IM3 said he was: a nobody, deadbeat stage actor who got caught up in something much larger than himself.

And using the soul gem as the reason why Trevor nods off in the middle of a conversation is...tenuous, at best. As for the "think tank" comment, that phrase was repeated ad nauseum in IM3, and it doesn't refer to anyone's "soul". It's a very common business/entrepreneur phrase for a specific type of company, such as Killian's AIM corporation. All this is quite a bit of a stretch, IMO.

Whatever the case. They destroyed the Mandarin for the general audience forever and undermined all the setting up work Favreau did in Im1-2 for Ten Rings. Raza/10R was awesome in IM1.

+ WS is in and they better play that awesome horror/scary score from TWS during his scenes.

They fricked up Iron Man too, score of movie 1 were gold and now they are weak as hell.
