The Arrow premiere has just finished airing and the show returned with quite the bang. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) rekindled their same season one chemistry and Diggle (David Ramsey) was his usual rock solid pillar of support. It will be interesting to see where the show heads in the second episode and beyond. Did "City of Heroes" meet your expectations, exceed them or fall short? Take the poll and join the discussion below.

Arrow season 2 premiere City of Heroes

"FROM VIGILANTE TO HERO — Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell) who left Starling City after The Undertaking. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought – Isabel Rochev (guest star Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira (Susanna Thompson) in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow’s absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the District Attorney’s office to take down the vigilante. Meanwhile, flashbacks to the island show Slade (Manu Bennett), Shado (guest star Celina Jade) and Oliver in a desperate situation. John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim (201)."

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

Yep I caught that too.

Episode was great. I like where all the characters are now except for Laurel. Dont like she is trying to catch Arrow even though he saved alot of people even her plenty of times. She is just blinded to me.

Everything else is on point though. Loved the training with Slade with those sticks in the beginning. Amell is on point as ever as Oliver. Felicity made him smile on the island was great. I like where the city is at at this point. Cant wait till next week to see my boy MJW as Bronze Tiger.

This was a great way to open up the 2nd season, It brought intensity, drama and some really good action as always. Oliver's new no killing rule was a good addition to his ever evolving character. Can't wait for episode two.

Again in 2013 "Arrow" was better than every 2013 big budget CBM.

Pretty good ep. Loved seeing Canary at the end! A Birds of Prey ep has to happen. They have all the women they need for it. They have Canary, Huntress, and Felicity to serve in role of Oracle. Make it happen, Guggenheim!

Can't wait to see Bronze Tiger in action! Suicide Squad pieces are coming together: Deadshot, Vertigo, Bronze Tiger, Amanda Waller!

Particle accelerator in Central City? Is this what kicks off a boom of superhumanity in the Arrow-verse?

This was the first episode i'd ever seen of Arrow. I didn't catch season 1 from the beginning so I wanted to wait until it was on blu-ray so I can see it all. I saw the season premiere mention on the AoS discussion thread so I gave it a shot. I gotta say, Arrow is one of the best shows on TV, period.

The only part that i'd say was bad was the church scene with the Hoods. People complained about a raft plugging the hole in the plane on AoS. Oliver hiding behind translucent sheet plastic is no better. Apparent that plastic was bulletproof, too... Lol

One edge that Arrow has over AoS is that we are only going to be 2 episodes in and we're already getting Black Canary, China White and BRONZE TIGER! Freaking Michael Jai White! Winning!

I'm gonna watch both, but I have to say that Arrow is a little more my speed than AoS. AoS is like Lost. Ensamble cast and EVERYTHING's a mystery. How's coulson alive, agent may's past, ward's family, who's skye, etc... That plus the constant Avengers references takes away from the story every week. And, like lost, every week you get another piece of the big puzzle, but it leaves a lot to be desired on the individual episodes. Shows like that are better when they are dramas like lost or heroes. Arrow is more like X-Files or Fringe where there is a central character or 2 for the narrative to anchor to and they are our perspective through fantastic situations...

One thing I don't understand about Arrow... Why isn't he banging the chick with the glasses??? She's the hottest chick on the show, by far!

The particle accelerator is how Barry Allen will get his powers.

@Moohika Season 1+2 is here for free: http://streamallthis.me/watch/arrow/

And if you just cant wait till 8pm on Wed nights for a new episode they usually get put up on Pirate Bay an hour or more early.

Just check out the name of the poster on Pirate Bay 1st and always use Peerblock. Some trolls like to post supposed links to movies and stuff they know people are looking for but the links are nothing.
