Seth Rogen Substantiates Talk Of AMC's PREACHER Series

Perhaps this rumor is true. Seth Rogen's cryptic tweets seem to indicate he's involved with an AMC adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's trailblazing comic, Preacher.

Actor/comedian Seth Rogen is giving strong hints via Twitter that he's involved in the AMC adaptation of Garth Ennis' controversial DC/Vertigo comic book series, Preacher. So strong in fact, I'm no longer thinking of this one as a rumor. Whether Rogen will be portraying one of the character from the series or is involved in a producing aspect is anyone's guess. In the past, it was thought that Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who recently directed This Is The End would be working on a film adaptation but it looks like this one is indeed headed to tv.

Looks like about seven of years of hard work are about to pay off. I may get to bring one of my favourite stories ever to life.

So AMC are allowed to go as hardcore as the book, right? If so, this could be the only way to do a perfect adaptation of this book. This could be a very good thing. It'll be interesting to see whether or not they'll censor the book at all.

As long as he's a writer and not starring in it, I'm good. He's a good writer..Hell, he's even a good actor (watch "50/50") but he wouldn't fit a show like this, imo. He'd probably be pretty good as a writer though, provided he doesn't go full comedy..but I don't think AMC would let that happen.

i don't know what kind of character he could play ? Does he have the chops to play John Wayne ? I'm not sure. There was the story with New York cops chasing down serial killer. There was this reporter (can't remember his name). I think he could play that part well.

I don't like the idea of Goldberg directing.
And please - no Franco as Jesse Custer.
