Academy Award-winning filmmaker and theater director Sam Mendes explained to The Charlie Rose Show why he felt compelled to return to the James Bond franchise. With
Skyfall, Mendes began telling a number of stories that he felt were incomplete. This includes introducing a new M (Ralph Fiennes), Miss Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw). He felts that he could use the 24th James Bond film to tell a second part to his billion dollar grossing film,
Skyfall.

BOND 24 will be directed by Sam Mendes ("Skyfall"), from a screenplay written by John Logan. The cast will include: Daniel Craig as James Bond (007), Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q. The film will be released in the UK and US on October 23, 2015 and November 6, 2015, respectively.
