He's all upset about the children who died at Sandy Hook, but I bet he doesn't care about all the children who die at abortion clinics or the children that die overseas via drone strikes.

Man I know there will be a bunch of dumb[frick] comments hating on Jim Carrey for OH MY GOD TELLING US HIS OPINION like there was for Mark Waid's review on Man of Steel.

Jim Carrey is [frick]ing great. Loved his movies since I was a kid and is the only [frick]ing reason I'm interested in Lame-Ass.

Sandy Hooks was months ago and far worse things have been happening across the world.

how many dumb[frick] comments will criticize Jim for having an opinion?

I guess 142.

Who gives a shit about his opinion? By that I mean it is HIS opinion and he's entitled to it. He did the movie about a bunch of kids from a school who go out as heroes and then get shot at and stuff before this tragedy happened. I understand where he is coming from in that I can see why he would feel a little weird about all the violence. Regardless of what you think, the man is hilarious and freaking awesome! This is CBM people, not the Huffington post so keep your politics in your pants.

Violence should never be sugar-coated. Look at Django Unchained; Tarantino could have easily removed a lot of violence so that nobody would be "offended". Yet he didn't, she showed the raw brutality of the Slave Trade. Anyway, more on point. People die everyday. People brutally die everyday. It's a movie, and a comic book movie at that. This franchise has balls...toasted balls that I don't want to see cut off and replaced with some PG13 bull-crap.

Let's put 2 and 2 together to see why he feels this way ok?

Kick-Ass is a much more violent superhero movie where we have kids dressed up as superheroes. Some are extremely violent and some use guns and kill.

In the Sandy Hook event we had a teenager using guns and violence to kill children.

So we have an event where we see a teen kill a school full of kids and a movie where kids and teens dress up as superheroes and some are violent and use guns and kill.

What is the connection dummies?

Give the guy a break
He isn't demonizing the film
Anyone that self reflects at times will question their actions

This is the problem with twitter and social media
some foolk are too quick to tell the world how they feel
at the moment

The thing with Kick-Ass is with have KIDS WHO ARE BEING VIOLENT. Django Unchained was ADULTS, KICK-ASS IS TEENS AND KIDS!!!!

Isn't the vitriol towards him a bit too much.

He's just telling how he feels.
It isn't political in any way
He isn't up on a soapbox claiming anything
about violence in movies.
Just his personal feelings

This guy is a [foo foo] with no masculine qualities at all. This is exactly what Bill Mahuer talks about when he says the "pussyfication" of America. Whats next Jim? How about Matthew McConaughey thinks about slavery then wishes he didn't do Amistad? Tom Hanks thinks about developmentally challenged people and regrets doing Forrest Gump? Didn't Columbine happen years before Sandy Hook? Still took that check though didn't he? This is why Jenny McCarthy didn't take the breakup hard. She's not a lesbian. She wants a man. Do some squats Jim instead of making silly faces. This whole country need to be on testosterone replacement therapy.

Why is he being hated for his opinion? The first movie was destroyed critically because of its violence and language from a young girl. This movie will be a lot if the same and I'm sure this will be viewed negatively on his career by a lot of people. It looks good and his new type of character is a fresh look for him but Carrey has really never had a role like this and I'm sure there is a reason.

For you people saying that people die daily and that kids are killing each other and whatnot, yes, this happens daily. The world sucks. I'm sure he knows this. But that's not what he's saying. He doesn't want to be associated with death and violence for/ to/ or from children. He's not a mean guy and he's probably not sure if he made the right choice. I'm sure we've all been there before, and no one critizeses you for your faults

"I respect his feelings". "I'm glad he's sensitive to others troubles". And you wonder why we "nerds" and "geeks" get such a bad wrap. You wonder why you can't get laid. WOMEN DON'T LIKE PUNKS! God! Eat some rare meat. Lift a weight. TRY to grow some chest hair. Eastwood is rolling in his grave and he isn't even dead yet. No wonder Kanye throws tantrums and Beiber is a superstar. Why Liam Neeson is the most believable action star in the world. Thats what America has reduced itself to. Women and Pucyees. The lot o ya!
