Me too man.

But then i feel like Spidey and Cap together was another missed potential. They could have done more with that and they did have them in the films at the same time for that one.

But he's right, there's a lot more to be excited about than there is to look back badly on. Bring on the future baby.

@TheUnworthyThor - Yea. I was thinking about that. It wouldn’t surprise me if they started a massive recasting, perhaps in an adaptation of “Heroes Reborn” or “Secret Wars”.

Feige pretending that Tony Stark isn't alive in two other branched timelines.

@SonOfAGif - they’re about to go multiverse as well. Could introduce 100 Starks who went through all the same things but somehow survived the snap.

Tony is not the only character the F4 and X-Men will never meet, ya know...

I get that he started everything and he's important but ehh i'd like to avoid what happened to Spidey to happen with X-Men as well.

I can only picture Sentinels built by Stak and not Trask...heh, yeah thanks but no thanks.

@Doomsday8888 - Stark doesn’t build weapons

Ultron, Hulkbuster, the Iron Man 3 suits
KnifeWasTooSlow
KnifeWasTooSlow - 1/18/2021, 8:17 AM
@regularmovieguy - those weren't weapons but created to bring control, the Hulkbuster submits the Hulk, doesn't destroy or kill him, the Iron Man 3 suits could be weapons but that could be anything that has a self destruct button.

@KnifeWasTooSlow

“those weren't weapons but created to bring control”

That’s what weapons are for.
OmegaBlack13
OmegaBlack13 - 1/18/2021, 4:58 PM
@regularmovieguy - Ultron was a program that turned itself into a weapon, Hulkbuster wasn't made to specifically hurt Hulk moreso to "stop" him, I guess maybe some of the Iron Man 3 suits? Sentinels are made to kill mutants, he wouldn't do that.

They are not recasting T’Challa. It’s not going to happen.

@regularmovieguy - not for bp2 but they 100% will recast him in a few years even if they kill him off first

I feel like this is where the multiverse is going to help big time.
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/18/2021, 4:43 AM
One day it'll probably happen on the big screen anyway. The MCU won't last forever, someday they'll be a total universe reboot, even if it's 20 years from now...
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 1/18/2021, 5:27 AM
@Nightwing1015 - I think they will do what marvel comics does and soft reboot with the same continuity but many different actors. 20 years from now the mcu will probably still be around in some form and stark, cap, black widow, and Tchalla will all be back with new actors eventually
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/18/2021, 5:52 AM
@Hulkh8liars - How is that a soft reboot then? How would it be the same continuity if all these dead heroes are still around?
OmegaBlack13
OmegaBlack13 - 1/18/2021, 7:11 AM
@Nightwing1015 - The broad strokes of everything still happened. For instance, the avengers still maybe formed the same way, have the same members, have been around the same amount of time. Certain things just happened differently. Not sure I’d like it but it’s what the comics would do.
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 1/18/2021, 9:25 AM
@Nightwing1015 - nobody does in comics. For cap they can do time bullet with a new actor for Steve. Tchalla they can have him die or go missing in bp2 and in a couple years(after secret invasion) have the"dead" Tchalla be a skrull imposter, allowing for a recast when they find Tchalla and other prisoners on a skrull ship. Stark and widow have each had several fakout deaths and one or two real ones in the books to draw from.
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/18/2021, 10:35 AM
@Hulkh8liars - Personally I think the way Marvel approaches it's "Marvel Time" continuity is incredibly dumb. They try and squash 70 years of continuity in one universe and 616 is just a jumbled mess at this point.

The DC method is better in my opinion. Total universe reboot every 20-30 years.
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 1/18/2021, 11:31 AM
@Nightwing1015 - a total reboot will lose me and many others every time. The good thing about soft rebooting is that you can fix mistakes or inconsistencies over time. Most of marvel's soft reboot changes have improved the mythology. It's one continuity but has had some narrative correcting along the way
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/18/2021, 12:06 PM
@Hulkh8liars - But why would a total reeboot lose anyone? Isn't a blank slate for new adapations of these great characters exciting?

And I don't even believe that claim based on how popular elseworld stories are in comic books. Nobody said "I'm not reading Injustice" because it's a new continuity.

If you only use 1 continuity for 70 years, you characters aren't allowed to grow or change enough. Just look at Spider-Man. After all the shit he's been through he's still only like 30 years old. It's the kind of system that means there are no real consequences. Spider-Man can't have a family because it deviates too much from the status quo. Characters have to be brought back from the dead all the time because they wanna sell books. A total reboot every few years gives more creative freedom
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 1/18/2021, 1:39 PM
@Nightwing1015 - I gave up on dc books afternoon the reboots. If there is a spiderman or any other recent marvel character reboot in the next decade I will not be Interested. I didn't like peter parker until 30+ years of writers fleshed out the same continuity. For that same reason I can't get attached to any dc characters on the same level, especially since new 52 was a thing
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/18/2021, 1:43 PM
@Hulkh8liars - I don't understand that. Because even though the continuity is rebooted, it's still essentially the same character.

That's like saying you're not attached to RDJ's Iron Man because you didn't see him in 30 years of stories first.

Every time there's a new DC TV show it's set in a new continuity. And people still grow attached to the characters. Why should comics be any different??
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 1/18/2021, 2:19 PM
@Nightwing1015 - I haven't liked any of the dc continuity branches In years. I haven't always liked everything marvel does(looking at guardians) bit since it is in the same continuity as winter soldier, ragnarok, and endgame I tolerate it more easily. That's the difference, one is a new continuity while the other maintains the same characters through a wider variety of situations allowing them to grow and change more than the characters that are constantly rebooted

Do I wish we could see Iron Man and Mister Fantastic share the screen? I think we eventually will see them share the screen. As great as it is, the MCU has to reset eventually, and I like the “James Bond approach” Feige’s mentioned.
