BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Theater Standee Gives Us A First Look At The Castle Staff In Human Form

A new theater standee for Disney's live-action Beauty and The Beast movie has been spotted in the wild, and it gives us a first glimpse of the castle staff before their cursed furniture makeover...

The Beauty and the Beast trailer introduces to most of the animated castle staff characters, but this new standee for Disney's upcoming live-adaptation of the classic tale provides our first glimpses of them in human form, before they're forced to live their lives as CG furniture.

We have: Emma Thompson’s as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, an unrecognizable Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Audra McDonald as Garderobe, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette the feather duster Plumette. On the left, we also have Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice.

The pics were first posted by the Beauty and the Beast movie blog, and if you head over there you can check out some close-ups.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, 2017.
