Something about these new films feels very fake and sterile.

@feedonatreefrog - Similar problem with "The Hobbit" compared to the LOTR films, or the SW prequels.

Too much reliance on cg backdrops methinks.

One superficial thing I hope they do in this film is return the colour to the spell blasts/bolts. Everything was just white light in the previous film and it was just very bland; when Graves and Tine did the "priori incantatum" (though I dint think it was me at to be that anyway) it was just two streams of white light.

I really like the effects of spells used from Order of the Pheonix onwards (were they are like quick gun blasts) but just give the hints of colour.

These films just look and feel so bland, it's like the whimsicality of the first three HP films was stripped back because everything had to become "darker". Even this film continues the murky and dull colouring and lighting that turned me off Yates' style of making these movies. I'd like it if they had someone new take over to inject some new blood into the franchise.
