Newt Receives A Letter From Paris In Latest FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Photo

Pottermore, the official website for all things Harry Potter, has shared a batch of photos from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald; but only one of them is brand new. Check it out after the jump.

The Pottermore website has finally gotten around to posting some images from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Well, most of them are photos we've actually seen before, but there is one new one.

It's an image of Newt Scamander fondly looking at a postcard from Paris, and it could mark the moment the adventure shifts from New York City to the French capital, where the film will largely be set.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of a planned five-film franchise from Warner Bros. The first film, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, introduced us to magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and all of his magical creatures, while also setting up the major arc of this prequel franchise to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The Crimes of Grindelwald pretty much picks up where the first film left off, but shifts the action to Paris. Newt and his friends are enlisted by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to help stop Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), who has escaped custody and is gathering followers, many whom are unaware of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings. Could this letter be from Albus or is there something more magical going on?

Production on Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald officially wrapped last month. The film is slated for release on Nov. 16, 2018.
