Amazon's upcoming Lord of the Rings series has found one of its leads in the form of Will Poulter.
The British actor reportedly won the highly sought-after role after an extensive search, but specific details on the character he'll be playing are being kept under wraps for now.
Poulter most recently appeared in Netflix’s acclaimed Black Mirror movie "Bandersnatch", as well as and Ari Aster's Midsommar. Before that, he featured in The Maze Runner franchise, The Revenant, and Detroit. He joins Aussie actress Markella Kavenagh (Picnic at Hanging Rock) as another mysterious character named Tyra.
We still don't know a whole lot about this take on Tolkien's classic, but it is expected to be a prequel of sorts to the original trilogy, set during The Second Age.
