After seeing what the studio did so wonderfully with Maleficent, I think Emma Stone is PERFECT for this, she can really pull off the sympathetic villainess who under that harsh exterior deeply, deeply cares for the puppies. she's just misunderstood. Roger ends up being the real villain of the movie, and he deservedly kicks the bucket in the 3rd act because, well, [frick] 'em!
