Hot on the heels of those kickass new stills from yesterday, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins star Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians; The Gentlemen) has shared the first official poster for his upcoming spinoff film, which spotlights the actor holding his character's iconic helmet.
Golding also announced that the full-length teaser trailer will debut this coming Sunday during the MTV Movie & TV Awards, which begin around 9 PM EST.
While plot details are being kept mostly under wraps, the film will focus on the never-before-told origin story of the mysterious commando and how he became the legendary hero fans know and love. A multitude of details from his past will be revealed, including his real name.
In addition to Golding, the supporting cast features Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6; Bullet Train) as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist; Snatch) as Baroness, Samara Weaving (The Babysitter; Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Haruka Abe (47 Ronin; Cruella) as Akiko, Takehiro Hira (Lost Girls & Love Hotels; Giri/Haji) as Kenta, Peter Mensah (The Incredible Hulk; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Blind Master, and Iko Uwais (The Raid: Redemption; The Raid 2) as Hard Master.
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins opens in theaters on July 23, and is then expected to debut on Paramount+ after a 45-day exclusive theatrical window.
