John C. Reilly Talks GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY A Bit
We hadn't heard from the comedian-actor since he joined the cast, but John C. Reilly finally talked briefly about Guardians of the Galaxy while at the Sundance Film Festival. Check it out after the jump!
While premiering his new zombie movie Life After Beth at last week's Sundance Film Festival, actor John C. Reilly, who plays Rhomann Dey in Guardians of the Galaxy, talked briefly about his role in the forthcoming Marvel film. “Oh, it's great... I got to be in London,” he told Flicks And The City when they asked about filming the James Gunn-directed adaptation. “Other than that, I think Marvel would put me in handcuffs if I say another single word about it.” The interviewer then pressed Reilly a little further for details on Guardians of the Galaxy by asking what it was like working with the actors in their alien makeup, versus seeing them on-set out of costume. “Well, it's funny... I've played characters that had extreme looks before too, and I think what happens with actors is that [they] just forget,” said John Reilly. “You just forget what's on your face because you're just looking out through your eyes of course. Working with Zoe [Saldana] - I only met her one time when she wasn't the color green - I think, on the last day, and I was like 'You're beautiful' and she was like 'thanks.'" Before he officially signed on, it was reported that John C. Reilly's role as Nova Corps officer Rhomann Dey will be “designed as the Agent Coulson of the Guardians movies” and he'll be the “primary face of normal humanity.” What do you think?
