Laura Haddock Talks Playing Star-Lord's Mother In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

According to producer Kevin Feige, Peter Quill will leave earth in the mid 1980s before “we meet back up with him” in space where he's very much a citizen of the universe. And with only 5% of Guardians of the Galaxy taking place on earth, it's almost safe to say we'll see Laura Haddock's Meredith Quill in a period-setting flashback or prologue (maybe playing the same Captain America groupie? Probably not). But anyhow, it's worth noting that we'll also see Meredith's own mother, sister and best friend in Guardians as three unknown UK actresses - Janis Ahern, Marianna Dean, and Lindsay Morton - have all filled those minor roles via Casting Call Pro. “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the next epic adventure from Marvel Studios, is directed by James Gunn from his screenplay, with a story by Nicole Perlman and Gunn, and the film will introduce audiences to a whole new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
