This, Pacm-Man, and the 700 jumps had me literally spilling coke out of my nose! X'D

@GreekCreekGeek - The space-jump was my least favourite scene, personally. It verged on cartoon territory there.

@MattBellissimo -

The fact that it actually went full cartoony with the effects on their faces (mostly on Rocket's) was what made me love it.

@MattBellissimo - I agree. I'd like to think it was a direct homage to John K. or something, so it wasn't just an odd choice but Gunn being a little too self-indulgent.

It felt almost like a set-up with no punchline. Like the camera was going to pan to one of them, but they were totally comedicly fine.

@MattBellissimo - That's the weird thing about GOTG, I laughed so much with the space-jump scene. Hahaha!

@GreekCreekGeek - Maybe I'm made of stone but; That space-jump scene was too much for me, as in, to cartoony and out of place.

@xAdam -

To each their own, my man. Personally, I don't think I would have loved it as much if it hadn't gone fully absurd, with the cartoony effects on their facial expressions and their over-the-top screaming.

Soon here, those guys (you know who) saying the movie isn't that good, disappointment, not making a billion, etc.

They can't hold back, they can't miss a chance. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@RagnarGolem - Doesn't the film need to gross $1 billion just to break even?

;p
RagnarGolem
RagnarGolem - 5/17/2017, 4:43 PM
@Eli - Maybe, with a very big budget, very expensive marketing and many weeks of reshoots.
