The first teaser trailer for Hellboy didn't receive a particularly warm response from fans of the character due to its goofy tone, but last night's Red-Band trailer was a definite improvement.

While a lot of humour was still very much on display, the action looks fantastic and the violence and swearing thankfully point to a tone that the vast majority were hoping for from Hellboy's long overdue return to the big screen. David Harbour definitely appears to be a good fit for the character, while the rest of the cast also appears to be having a lot of fun.

Now, we've rounded up over 40 hi-res screenshots from that action-packed Red-Band trailer and any one of these images could be deemed wallpaper worthy!

Professor Bruttenholm is circa 40 years old when Baby Hellboy arrives, I'm sure it takes place while WW2, later in the trailer he looks like 70, maybe it's also in the past (80s) and Bruttenholm is dead in the present day, or he is over 100 years old :D
