Hellboy writer Mike Mignola has announced that a brand new trailer for the upcoming reboot will drop at midnight, and we have two hellish new posters for you guys to check out in the meantime.

We recently found out that this new take on Hellboy would indeed be rated R, and tonight's new look at the movie is expected to be red band (now confirmed).

Whether the trailer is full of blood and F-bombs or not, let's hope it does a better job of selling this film than the somewhat lackluster first teaser.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Hellboy hits theaters on April 12, 2019.

@knocturnalzen10 - I've been re-reading some classic HB on comixology lately and I just don't get how anything in that last trailer was close to the source material.

GDT had the atmosphere and tone just right.

from the few HB comics i've read one thing i do know is that witches in hb universe are extremely dangerous. So the tone should be pretty grim IMO

Off topic, but surprised we haven't had an article about box office estiamtes for Shazam. Its estimated to haul in 48 million opening weekend.

But then again the lack of promotions may have actually taken their toll on the general audience.

@TheRadioDemon - yeah, the promotion for the film has not been the best. Maybe it will kick into high gear this final month, but for such a relatively unknown character to the masses, they need to be doing more if they want to get butts in seats.

I know a new trailer has become a meme at this point but it is a bit concerning that we are now like 5 weeks out from the movie and we've only had one trailer which came out at Comic Con last year. I wonder what's up

@HeavyMetal4Life - Sometimes I forget that movie is even coming out. I say "Oh wow, no DC movies coming out until Joker", and then I remember Shazam. The promotion is terrible.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Shazam may be in trouble and this is from a DC fan. It's 1 month away and still has not released a trailer...lets think about that. 1 month before release and NOT 1 real trailer.

Just a SDCC teaser from like 8 months ago. Nothing on plot or the characters/locations just the concept

Dumbo opens the week prior and if that is more like beauty and the beast its week 2 will be strong

Shazam opens up against Pet Sematary which is a big release (and way more advertised)

Fianlly, if the rumors are true Shazam will be releasing its trailer the same week as Endgame. Shazam will have 1 month to build hype while the hype machine for the biggest cbm of all time is starting

I know we had a few tv spots and features but haven't seen anything I can remember.

@ThePott - So what I can gather from some trade journals its Suicide Squad all over again.

The SDCC was so popular they went back with the reshoots back in Dec to make it more like the trailer.

Doesn't seem to be the same mess with competing cuts buts its just a different movie now...could be good or bad idk

This is not normal marketing no matter what anybody says. I hope its good and if its good I hope its successful because if it flops then no shazam 2

@Pitydafool - wb sometimes hold off for the last min. They did it with Kong skull island and it paid off but this is a superhero film so it’ll be interesting for sure

@TheRadioDemon - They really don't though. Kong skull island had 3 trailers (July, November and feb) and if Shazam does Kong numbers then its a major disappointment

Godzilla 2019 (WB release) already has 2 trailers.

It looks good and cheap so maybe kong numbers is all WB needs and cares for
