It's been quiet for far too long, but we'll finally get to see some new footage from A Quiet Place Part II tomorrow, May 6.
Director John Krasinski's highly-anticipated horror sequel was one of the first major releases to be pushed back because of the pandemic last year, but Paramount Pictures recently announced plans to to bring the movie forward from this September to Memorial Day weekend (May 28), and a final trailer is set to arrive online tomorrow.
To build a bit of hype, we have a new 30-second spot featuring snippets of new footage below.
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles from the first film, with Krasinski also set to appear in flashbacks. Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins) and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) will play new characters, but very little is known about their roles.
A Quiet Place Part II is PG-13 for “terror, violence and bloody/disturbing images.”
