ARMY OF THE DEAD Interview: Joe Fidler Talks Up The "Top Tier Stunt Team" And "Amazing Action"

Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is set to hit Netflix in May, and we recently had the opportunity to chat with stuntman Joe Fidler about his behind-the-scenes work on the movie and what we should expect!

The internet has been ablaze with Zack Snyder's name for some time now, mostly in part due to this month's Justice League Snyder Cut release date. While many fans are excited to see the four-hour finished product with additional characters, horror fans are looking forward to something else from Zack Snyder this year: Army of the Dead.

Longtime fans of Snyder's 2004 film Dawn of the Dead are waiting to see more zombie action from the new Netflix film, which hits the platform on May 21, 2021. While Army of the Dead may not share the same universe as its 2004 counterpart, this new movie is the beginning of a sprawling world that will utilize a prequel film and an anime to flesh it out.

To learn a bit more before its releases, we chatted with stuntman and actor Joe Fidler about his involvement in the upcoming film.

"Look for some amazing action in Army of the Dead. I think that everyone will be impressed with what goes on and what was created. So the stunt team around that was top tier, and they had a good, fair budget for what they were trying to do.

There was a lot of preparation that went into it. The guys who worked on it and everyone who put it together really knocked it out of the park. So I think you should look for a lot of really great action in that."

Fidler clearly has a lot of praise for the team behind Army of the Dead, and it's good to know that a hefty budget and passionate creatives are behind bringing it to fruition. You can hear him talk about working with Snyder on Army around the 10 minute and 33-second mark and other projects like The Suicide Squad, The Punisher, Henry Danger, and Henry Danger.
